We sold our house on St Joe Peninsula five years ago . Sold the boat three years ago . Really enjoy riding along with you. We fished St Joe and Apalachicola Bays for thirty five years . Thanks for sharing your experiences .
Thanks, so glad you enjoy the videos! I’m sure you saw a lot of changes around here! We started vacationing here about 30 years ago but only lived here about 15 years. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Glad you enjoy them! Good luck tomorrow!! Looks like a good day tomorrow, nice mid morning high tide and seas look pretty good! Hope you get into them!
Are you constantly drifting when you fish the flats? Do you worry about getting stuck? This was a great video, I like your edit style and the amount of information you provide! including your son is also awesome! There is nothing better than getting your kids on the boat. Tight lines !
Thanks man! Yes I pretty much always drift. Every once in a while if it seems the fish are in a specific spot like a drop off or on the edge of a sandbar or something like that I will spot lock the trolling motor. But for me I like to keep moving and going over different areas the best. Also I think when you drift you make less noise and can sneak up on the fish better. Thanks for watching!
Thanks! Definitely one of my favorite. That’s basically what the subscriber said that I talked to at the boat ramp that morning. Sort of set up the day for me! Thanks for watching!
I just found your site and I've watched a couple of videos and I'm enjoying your content. My wife and I just built a house and moved to Lanark Village. My wife has a cousin named Landrum that lives in Port St. Joe. I bet it's the same person. Anyway, keep up the good work. I'm gonna try your sauce.
Awesome! Glad you enjoy the videos. Yeah I’m sure that’s the same Landrum. He’s in several videos. There one where the thumbnail is him holding a Mahi Mahi. The “snapper are everywhere” and “snapper fishing 30 miles offshore “. You’ll recognize him. Thanks for watching! Congrats on building a house! Hopefully not too stressful, we are getting ready to start that whole process ourselves.
I’m sure any of the rental houses especially the ones not on 98. I see that all the time so I think as long as there is enough space to put it it doesn’t matter. And the houses a couple streets back from 98 all pretty much have enough room to park a boat. Or it looks like the mainstay suites in port st joe has a nice parking lot. Hope that helps
Unless I’m mistaken there are only underwater reefs in the MBARA reef systems, not surface fads. Let me know where they are if I’m wrong!!! But yes there are red, lane and vermillion snapper on those reefs. If you’re looking specifically for red snapper since that just opened, you’ll do best by targeting the deeper reefs, probably 80 plus feet. Bigger ones will be caught with live bait on the bottom or my favorite, free lines on the surface. Chumming helps too! Hope that helps and thanks for watching!
