Fishing Pine Island sound in the mangroves for Red Fish, Snook, and Mangrove Snapper

Fished the mangroves all day in Pine Island sound and hit up the entrance of our canal for a few fish on the way back.
We used Shimano Stradic’s, Saragosa and Daiwa BG, Saltist for fishing reels, and Gloomis and St.Criox for rods. For line we had Power Pro 15,20,40lbs test and for leaders Seagar 30, 60, also wire from 15lb to 30lb. Owner hooks 2/0 4/0 tournament circles, and 2/0 ssw octopus style, J-hook.

Great video. Love seeing those big Mangs coming in. I was going to head up that way after Ian last year but never made it. Good to see the fishing is doing well. I’m heading back down to Estero Bay next month for a while so will be hitting the water hard.

Thank you! I get to fish the salt once a year with my buddy. We did get into them really good, on a number of days. It didn’t seem like there was any less fish than the other years we went. Hope you get into them big time in Estero!
