@adamblase4644 we are there every year for two weeks, if we can get offshore we go. we probably went offshore four times out of 10 days. One of those days the winds were like 9 to 12 miles an hour… it was too much. So yeah calm days and low waves, swells, and wind waves. All 3 kinda matter. The app is super helpful!
@@Iferenz awesome, I will definitely check the app out. We try to get out 2-3 times a week on a 25 foot boat we run usually 40-60 miles out at night or early morning
@adamblase4644 We are just learning so we have gone out 12 miles but it’s a 21 foot mako bay style boat, we gotta be picky on days. We want to go out far like you, we just need that perfect day with the boat Troy has.
I met you guys a little over a year ago. I was staying at my buddy's place which is right next to the house you rent on PI. Wanted to say hello. Also, what app is shown on the phone at the beginning of the video? Thanks, Bill
Hey Bill, I remember drooling over your boat! I’ll find out from Troy and let ya know what that app is and get back to ya asap, it worked pretty well for us and we used it everyday.
So it’s a 1 1/4 “ pipe, the bottom is sealed except where the pipe connects to the bottom. This allows dirty water to come up through the pipe and go over the filter thus cleaning the water allowing shad to live longer. Rewatch the video I have a shot of what the bottom of the 6 “ pipe looks like
Great job i have a couple of questions if you don't mind how does it work for removing scales if you had to build it again would you change anything I'm a fan thanks for sharing
Thank you! Yes it picks up scales and waste very well. If I could change anything and I will it would be that I would secure the 6 inch pipe better, it moves around with heavy waves. Also I would pick a cooler that seals better. When the boat rocks around sometime water comes out between the lid and the cooler. Other than that it works really well.
Thanks how about use some pvc pipe cut in stripes and attach the pieces to your pipe just under your lid and just above the lid sandwiching the lid so it can't move Thanks for sharing if you don't mind can I use your design
Absolutely use that design. That’s why I put a video up of it because It works so well. I like the pvc c idea you got. I have been using a cut a pool noodle to fit on the 6 inch pipe and sandwich it with the lid, works good, I want it to be better than good. It’s nice to be able to take it all apart and clean it, it gets filthy dirty so there is that to think about too. You are going to want to clean it out on the regular.
Good looking pancake.! Nice build also. Where did you buy your dannco venturi aerator. I couldnt find it. Thanks for your video. I wanna build me something.
You can use 1 cup of livestalk salt per 10 gallons of water and i forget the amount but a small amount of cheap coffee creamer to kill the foam. Hope that helps yall keep bait longer.
I have never heard of live stock salt.. I have heard of coffee creamer never tried it I’ll have to give it a try one of these times. Thanks for the tip!
Coming back and living life i forget how intense the battles were. That drag peeling, multple times we got doubles and triples going, total chaos, so epic. Now that were in the new year and getting closer to the next trip its getting exciting.
@@Iferenz yep not long. We will have a few things set up better than last year. Sabiki rig always ready to go, gaff, heading sensor. I didnt think it could get better but we always find ways.
Yes so pretty, especially at the end of the video when you caught that snook. I love that clear water!! I can’t wait to get back and do it again and again.
might be a dumb question? so the water comes from the bottom and pushes water out of the 1 inch pipe on top then filters through the filter you have set and then pushed back into the tank?
This was inshore pine island in the mangroves in the spring time. Live bait with moving water seems to be the ticket. I have a video “Fishing pine island sound” with a sunset and me and my buddy Troy holding fish in the thumb nail where I give away spots.
Great video. Love seeing those big Mangs coming in. I was going to head up that way after Ian last year but never made it. Good to see the fishing is doing well. I’m heading back down to Estero Bay next month for a while so will be hitting the water hard.
Thank you! I get to fish the salt once a year with my buddy. We did get into them really good, on a number of days. It didn’t seem like there was any less fish than the other years we went. Hope you get into them big time in Estero!
Yes! I had to make the pipe letting the water in a bigger diameter. I started with a 3/4 inch pipe then I had to go bigger to a 1 inch pipe, this fixed the problem you stated of pump pumping faster than water coming in. So if you are using a 1/2 pump you need a 1 inch pipe or maybe 1 1/4 inch. Or the water level is not high enough in cooler. I bet it’s the size of the pipe letting in water.
I am looking for about your product place lace me a messages . When I post this, I am looking for more Information on this thing in this Video how it run on have in boats hope can help me come pay lake or ponds
This is DIY not a product of mine. I am thinking of doing another video on it to better explain how I built it and how it works. Look for it in a few weeks. If you have a specific question on what materials used or how I built it I’ll be happy to try and help.
Is the lid insulated? If not drill holes spaced out and fill it with canned foam. This will help with the water temperature too. It's what I did on my livewell. Thanks for the video and nice work!
