Steve, Thank you for another great video. I watched this a couple times there is so much information packed into 15min. I cannot wait to get back out to the delta and fish these spots. My son and I fished it on Fathers day and had a great day. We watched your frog videos from last week. My son Fished a Horney Toad with a belly flasher and smoked em! He also did well on a craw colored crank bait. I did well with a drop shot, Craw colored 6" worm and also a Jerk bait (my confidence bait- Mega Bass vision 110 +one). It was windy with a low incoming tide, not the best but had no choice. Got on the water at Paradise Point a little late around 5:30am and the fishing was great until around 10am. Thank you Steve.

Funny, I just fish an area that looks just like that by the lighthouse resort. First time fishing along the banks and caught three in a row on a dart head and Robo worm. Thanks for the video.

Great video Steve When I’m targeting those pockets, I like the last 2 hours of incoming tide to max high tide. I’ll pitch my dropshot in there and almost all the time the fish will pick it up as the roboworm is slowly descending downwards. Fishing from the bank once again it’s all about being stealthy as possible because the bass will sit extremely shallow and close in those pockets. If the Topwater bite is decent I’ll throw a frog into those pockets and walk the dog real slow without moving it forward too much since I want my frog to stay in the strike zone longer. As a part time bank angler these pockets are producers on the high tide regardless if it’s early morning, midday or late evening!

I am going to fish those areas more.

Hahaha the closet stuff made me giggle. I’ve caught many bass on those type of pocket with senko, chatter and drop shot. I try not to miss those areas

Thanks for the great info Steve. I’m a fairly new fisherman within the last couple of years and I’m fishing a kayak. I would love to learn more about this type of stuff and ask questions for better understanding. Can you recommend a guide, if not yourself, for the delta to go on a day trip with to not only fish but teach? Thanks, love your work.

Great information. Black and blue jig or punch rig inside the closet. Worm in the pocket. Horny toad from a distance in front of the house or in the trough. Floating frog on top of the weeds.

Great Video, I fish San Joaquin river In the Central Valley, Not too many Tullie and rock banks where i fish, but when I find them I managed to get some nice bass.

Thanks again for the tips! I struggle keeping my wacky worm setup with the hook. It always ends up parallel to the worm and I’ve been told it needs to be perpendicular. Tips?
