That was a bummer man..., it's the worst when you see them come off. It sounded like that snook scared you 😨😂 Good stuff dude!

It was terrible, still haunts me. The line made that knot around my wrist and it was just over...the snook did surprise me, I wasn't ready for it😂

Cant believe you caught a snook up here in st marks on the same trails I stomp. I have fished the trails a few times with limited success and was wondering what you regard as the best tides to fish those creeks

Haha I know it's pretty crazy, most of the locals don't believe me, but it's true, they are there at times. Honestly as far as tides go, I pretty much find fish on every tide. Try topwaters, paddletails, and shrimp patterns when looking for fish. When the negative tides start happening in winter, look for the deeper holes and use a doa shrimp or paddletail and work them slow. If it's a really blown out tide from winds out of the North, you'll be walking for a while to find any water with depth, but it can be worth it.
