Caught my first DD off that rock wall between the two trees from where you were catching the dinks. My buddy hooks a 4lb with a chatter bait and three seconds later I hooked an 11lb on a rattle trap. We were on a boat pre fishing for a tournament..go figure..pre-fishing lolol. Love the vids Gregg!!

I add it sometimes if I'm fishing around a lot of grass as it'll help prevent the tiny tag ends of the knot from hanging/catching grass

Kinda tough but Clear Lake is actually one of the few places that is a free launch (tho you do need to get a mussel sticker)

Here's the rule as it applies to having a license - or not... Anyone 16 years and older must have a fishing license to take any kind of fish, mollusk, invertebrate or crustacean in California, except for persons angling from a public pier for non-commercial purposes in ocean or bay waters. I'm not sure what you mean by a 'fee', so I made the assumption you meant 'license'. Hope this helps.
