Frustrating to watch one of your opponents cruise up to a point, look around with his FFS, never cast and just cruise away. Do you plan on getting FFS?
Yeah, according to Bill Murphy, San Diego big fish legend, prior and after the full moon is best. He wrote a classic book called, In Pursuit of Giant Bass. Highly recommended reading for Large Mouth Bass anglers.
Hey Greg go back and look at your video.. you are not setting the hook on hardly any of the fish. Wake up buddy. Move that fish at least a foot when you set the hook. Seemed like when the fish bit you just tightened up on the fish not setting the hook. Gotta whack them if your in a kayak. Latter Greg drink a cold one for me buddy.
Hey Greg what is up buddy. Hey man i just watched this video and man you gonna wharp your brain with all that analysis your trying to figure out. No 1 full moon and a clear night. Bad news. Fish been feeding all night. Perfect night for an evening tournament. Okay no 2. Clean clear water. I just noticed that some of the folks are saying slow way down. I don't think thats right. Clear water means they get alot better view of what there getting ready to eat. I say speed up. Jerkbait rattlettrap bhzzbait chappo. Anything that will get there attention but not give them time to inspect it. Anyhow Gregg remember. Have a good one. BUDDY.
Opening scene, don’t you have packable rain gear?. Personally, I have a 20 year old Simms lightweight rain jacket (windbreaker) and same rain pants, that bundle up in a ball. Whenever there is a chance for rain when in higher elevations I always make sure I carry them in my dry bag that I pack. Is your truck a RAM? If it is, I have a RAM 2019 Big Horn 4x4, with the raisable center armrest. But like Santa, I want to put a shell on it like I have all my previous trucks, so I can truck camp when I finally get my kayak “tuned-in” and ready for tournament life.
Once again, nice job! I liked that you found that largemouth cove, but I was hoping you cycled back through it after a short rest, with a jig or a senko. Overall, you did great! Looking forward to the next one. ✌🏼Mo-town man out!
Gotta love all the “fans” who couldn’t tell Greg how to win the tournament beforehand, but now know the exact reason he didn’t place first after its all over!! How about not adding to the never-ending parade of sofa critics and just telling Greg congratulations and how well you enjoyed the video?! Another great tournament Greg, and congratulations!! Great video, as always!
Another outstanding video great display of your tournament skills Greg. One thing I can say is when you fish the way you know how, rely on your instincts to make key decisions either to stay at one place or move to find another. There is no one else that does it better than you. You concentrate on your abilities your strengths and strong angler intuitions on how you perform on the lake and pull off the top ten with no practice just brilliant sir. I had to wait to watch this video until I got off work, had to work early and tweet Greg is out on the lake doing what most guys would love to be doing the end result is quite satisfying to the soul . Keep it up Greg do what you love to do and reach the reach the stars of the angler world cause I’ll still be watching and rooting you on and someday it would be very humbling to be fishing in the same lake your on and to shake your hand and say thank you so much for your inspiration until the next video take care and God bless!
I agree with qooch for a kicker fish, big baits catch bigger fish. Maybe a jig or swim bait, etc just might help ya. Great tournament though, you definitely did better than I would have. I struggle in clear water to this day….
Nice solo trip your consistent that is what keeps you high in the standings. Someone could have one good tournament but it’s not easy to be consistent throughout the whole series & thats what ya gotta do show up & catch fish.
