Fishing Topwater for Early Winter Bass

Temps are dropping and all the vegetation is dying off. Less vegetation means less places for baitfish to hide. Found some fish out in open water in the morning then ran some really shallow flats. Found some active fish that were chewing the walking baits.

We are pretty fortunate here, depends on the lake here in Cali but you. A catch topwater fish all year. Your lakes freeze up?

It definitely has been really warm here on the west coast. Winter cold hasn’t really hit yet. Not too many frost nights either as of yet. Now we are getting rain too so temps are going up quite a bit

It’s the O’Neill Forbay, stripers aren’t in the same location every time so you have to move around to look for them. Once you find them just stay in the general area
