357 pistol but I use a 38spl in the pistol both work but the pistol you got back up shot where a bang stick you do not but any way to put the fish out quickly so it’s not dangerous is great for safty

Is there 2 different types of thresher? I don’t know to tell the difference between the two types all I know it that it was big and it had a super long tail😂 didn’t want to get any closer as I had some bad experiences with thresher sharks and being solo not quite worth getting hurt over
@Garrick's Adventure's yeah the big eye thresher is the all grey one with the bigger eye, the other one is blue top with a more silver belly. The big eye thresher is the one i usually catch on the east side

Ohhh yeah that’s why I cut that leader way way long had some bad experiences with thresher sharks and know better than to mess with that tail😂 as soon as I seen him down there I was like I need to cut this line before he does some crazy stuff🤣
Sure does!!! I actually just had another absolute screamer and I was thinking same thing again thresher! But I fought it all the same and when it got up! 200plus ahi!!! Yellow fin tuna! So sometimes it pays to play itnout and see what happens!🤙🏽
