Hey I really enjoy the in depth videos you do about fishing. I have been pretty consistent with my catches of vent and calxfish but I'm wondering if i can optimize a better catch rate. currently using emalj 1hook 1625 depth. im starting to use ironbone to see if its better. do you have any recommendation for what might be REALLY better? not cristula 0.2 (that hasn't been as good from what ive documented)
i took a break from the game shortly after making this video, i came back a couple weeks ago, cant say if anything has been changed or not but checking my old spreadsheet i see that i had a lot of success fishing vents with 0.2 hook, it varies a lot between locations but i hope it helps

Like when fishing or luck looting the first silver topaz, Is this what i should aim for? I like this kind of treasure trinket system. For weeks iam fishing right now, best stats what iam wearing atm is 2% loot luck and 2% trinket gem luck. I wonder if its possible that i can magically fish a silver topaz with a few more % gem effekt luck with my setup? ;o i dont really kill big bosses or do a lot of dunegons so i start really small here with this^^ But i have my dream of a cool silver topaz ring i pull out of water some lucky day xD
yeah you can get silver topaz or silver ruber fishing, luck stats don't matter for fishing but for looting chest in poi and killing npc it does, your best bet is a mix of the two as much as posible combined in todal, i value rtgl more than ll
tryed to test it too. and in my opinion fishing with normal baits like emalj still better, beacuse you still have a lot of pulls, you have alot of fish and crabs for butchering and litte amound of money. With leptois scales/rock oil/coal/ichor its just boring, you just siting and watch on the float for a 5 mins without pull. My first silver with topaz was bited for emalj and i have alot of fish/crabs. And after a coupls of months with fishing i just only use emalj/silver coins/molarium and another. Because in my opinion its a pure random.
Yeah it's definitely more entertaining but you get much less trinkets if you do so, if you are more than a minute or two without seeing any nibbles with a bait for trinkets your best bet is just reel back and try again, if you see nibbles keep trying until they stop for more than a minute, usually it means you missed the spot and are a few cm of depth off
@@JohnOldman for me its looks more like when you fishing in one spot you just can catch all fish and then you start fishing trinkets and twigs, after a few minutes fish came back and it's looks like a cicle.
