Hi Vincent. Lovely place you're camping at. That beach looks like a new favorite spot for you. You were lucky to get a little bit calmer weather and have a bit fish. There's nothing worse when the water is blowing a whoolie. I loved the psychedelic Willie Wonka sweet scene. I was laughing my head off. Nice to see you're still pouring yourself a good measure of that Redbreast! There should be no half-measures in life! You deserve it! I had a few chucks this week but there wasn't much doing. The river is still pretty low. I think it's going to be a late season for the salmon! Great watch as always!
Hopefully the best is yet to come for you salmon wise on your rivers. Glad you enjoyed my video. That lake is a beautiful spot. The waters a little warm and i don't think the fish are biting. Hopefully I'll have a good day on it with perfect conditions and catch lots of big fat trout. Paul the fellow who owns the boat says its a great lake. Thanks so much. Glad you enjoyed. Weather in Ireland isn't good at the moment the fishing is very bad and there's lots of overtime in work on offer. So I've been working my rest days. Wow those conditions got pretty bad. Good thing you made it back in time. Did you have a cooler with ice to keep that fish fresh for your wife? I am the same way with sweet stuff. I'll eat it till I'm sick. I am glad we don't have as nice candy as you do over there. I couldn't resist. 👍
I'd like to think chops is up on top of the mountain eating nice sweet grass. But in reality chops probably ended up in chops with some child saying to its mother "Mother I didn't enjoy my dinner the meat was a bit chewy". The last few times i went to the mountain lakes the farmer wasn't around. Then i heard he had, had a bad fall. Then i met him in cork train station one day and he was fit as a fiddle just out of hospital. A lovely man. Hopefully our paths will meet again. Thanks for watching and commenting cheers

That new stretch of motorway bye passing Macroom must be a godsend. I see you have taken to the Redbreast in preference to the Jameson more and more, a quality drop…now you have managed to marry what is known as “the Priests drop” with “the Priest” fish mallet….though God forbid never the twain should meet. On another tangent, I’ve been enjoying swimming in the Atlantic west of Gib in a favourite spot of ours in Tarifa and I’ve noticed the sea temps incredibly warm by up to 6C which I’ve only experienced in the Caribbean and Australias Barrier Reef….this can’t be good for the Salmon or Sea Trout species as I’ve heard the temps have also drastically risen similarly around Ireland and Scotland.
@@anspailpinspanach9298yes this is correct. The sea bass is a fish that comes into irish waters from May and June mainly to Kerry and Cork one or two go up as far as Dublin but not any further. The last couple of years they are catching them up in Norway which has never happened before. The cod fish that normally come to Ireland from November onwards for the winter are not stopping here anymore they are passing irish waters and going further afield to colder waters more north. Global warming. The salmon are scarce. The seals or now going up river up as far as Macroom looking for food. Its a disaster. Man and man alone has done all this. Don't know where it will all end. 😢
The authors of our own downfall and we classify ourselves as intelligent. There surely is little hope to turn back the clock, re freeze the ice, switch off El Niño, and quench the raging fires from space. We have fatally up-scuttled the balance rightly.
Lough guitan on the Kerry border. You can't hire a boat the boat I'm in is my friends boat. You can fish from the bank no problem. It has good trout. Cheers.
@@lukaszdeejay3x541 not that i know of it is known as a brown trout lake but you better double check with the fisheries board just in case. I half a salmon and seatrout licence for all of Ireland so I'm definitely covered.

I'm sure those truffles were lovely 'n all, and whoever gifted them to you must have been very generous, but I have to confess, if someone gave them to me I think I'd feel like the guy who lost €50, and found 1! I hate to tell ya, but when you're a guy and someone gives you a gift of soap (let alone if that person shares a bed with you) you might want to consider if perhaps they're trying to tell you something without _telling_ you, if you get me! ( _I_ should probably talk!) Lastly, and again I hate to tell you this, but you know these eejits that wreck the bus shelter or something and film themselves doing it, and then _post it up on social media?!_ Well, not like you were doing anything 'out of the way' or anything like that, but _you see that move with the piece of wood?!_ lol!

Its too far for me going up there it's a very very long drive much to far for me. They love it and have had epic sessions up there brain has told me. Maybe in my next video we'll meet up again. Hey vincent, what direction does the wind come from there mainly? Like right toward the end of your video. Here in the Midwest United States we have a saying.....wind from the north, fish go forth, wind from the east, fish bite the least. Wind from the west, fish bite the best, wind from the south, fish have sore mouths.😊
Yes we have that saying too. A southwest is best. Having no engine on the boat and a strong wind you may as well forget it and go home. My friend who gave me a loan of his boat wanted me to take his engine as well. I wouldn't take it. I'm happy for the exercise rowing. But in a gale.
