Fiskars X27 Splitting Axe in Action - 2023 #15
In this video I'm working at the bottom of slippery hill, splitting rounds with the Fiskars X27, I have 20 rounds bucked, how many can I split ?
Making progress, one lung busting axe swinging session at a time a time .....

Really nice job of splitting. That is some serious exercise. 😊

It was quite a workout. Farm Fit, no monthly gym fees required. Looking for new members ( to join and split for me 👍)

Go Chris go! Somebodies had a lot of practice with the ole fiskars. Great splitting my friend 👍 I watched to the end. That was a nice splitting session and highlighted your work ethic and will power. God bless

Hey Dillon, thanks for watching and positive words. I really enjoyed this session, I don’t get the opportunity to split lots of wood like this, so I savoured the moment. I think I’ll be a few weeks before I next split, 😞, just had the appendix removed, ouch, so I’ll be sore for a while, but will be back when I’m ready. Lots of rest time = you tube time.

Nice splitting. Before the gift from China (Covid) i could do this for 45min. Now i am winded at 5min.

Hi Daniel. It takes a while to recover after a severe Covid case, just like pneumonia, it messes up the lungs, gotta keep working though and get the blood flowing, hopefully you be back at it soon enough. Just thought …. Is it Covid or the wolf ridge splitter that caused the drop in fitness ( cheeky joke )

I'll have what he's whacking. That wood is so lovely and easy to split and is insanely straight grained for Aussie wood.

It’s dream wood eh. Straight and pops apart. I seem to have wood of 2 extremes. Rock solid twisted grain or dream wood. I’ve just been bucking another log of stringy bark ( on Saturday ) and cannot wait to get into some axe slaying on it. But today’s not the day for it eh. 35 deg c here, just on my way back from the beach.

@@TheRuralProject . 1 of the 2 of us was out splitting some gnarly Redgum this morning when it was only 33. 39 here now. Bought a 25T Black Diamond on Thursday. That seems easier than a maul.

@@Alan_Hans__ mines a black diamond. Good splitters. Still takes a determined man to split in that heat. It’s getting hotter here, just tipped 40 degrees at 5-50 at night. Crazy.

@@TheRuralProject Every time I split anything besides Oz wood, I chuckle.

Hardly ever find Oz wood I can split with the little guy

Hi David, I agree, gotta be selective with the rounds and the tree, but when you find the right stuff, wahoo, it’s a real pleasure popping it apart with the smaller axe rather than throwing the lump ( maul ) around. Thanks tor watching.

@@TheRuralProject Come to think of it, I had one log like that a while back. Looked and split like cedar but was heavy.
