The Fisker Ocean looks like a Range Rover and Jaguar had a baby. Amazing good looks UNLIKE the Tesla....also, Magna has been making vehicles for Mercedes, BMW, Jaguar, and Toyota for years. The Fisker quality is sure to be top notch.
What's most compelling to me is in just 4 weeks from release, this video is already within distance of your top 10 most viewed. Speaks to the interest in the Fisker Ocean.
My vote goes to Fisker Ocean Ultra, I am sure that this SUV will be on the road at the end of 2022 because Magna is responsible to make it. I am a little sceptic about the range and performance but no doubt it will be a success.
I would go fore the ultra to. Seems to be the best option if you take Price in concideration. My just looks like a fat model 3, witch I am not a fan of.
My vote goes to Fisker. Definitely Y is on the road for a while but the shape of the car just sucks....too much dorky for my taste. On the other side Fisker is coming out within a year. Still some time to prove itself... But guess what.. who is building it?.... no its not Fisker Its Magna.. yes! Magna who build Mercedes, BMW, Aston Martin...so no I do not think there will be any problem with production ...And the design of the car is simply awesome... but yes more tech details to come. I definitely am curious and waiting.
I have been waiting for the arrival of the Fisker Ocean, and would prefer it to any Tesla. I would regard myself as an MPV purchaser, but in terms of the Ocean, I would probably be a "Sport" buyer. I don't want luxury, but a practical ride, that can pull a 2 000 kg utility trailer, when needed. However, I could go as far as an "Ultra" with AWD since I live in rural Norway, where winter conditions are a way of life. Ground clearance is the first spesification I look at for any car. My main complaint about Tesla is that its vehicles seem to have to meet the approval of Chairman Elon. In particular, it annoyed me that he was opposed to Right-to-Repair legislation. However, I just don't like the Model Y's non-utilitarian shape. As for other vehicles, originally I was interested in a Skoda Enyaq, but this was rejected by the person I share a car with. It was just too large. We are both waiting for the arrival of a Renault Kangoo E-tech, which we are told would be about May 2022.
My vote goes to Fisker Ocean Ultra. I am sure that this SUV will be of great quality because Magna is responsible to make it. I am a little sceptic about the range and performance taking the price in consideration, but no doubt it will be a success. Also love the big boot and the higher towing capacity. With having a Doberman that needs quite some boot space on long trips and regularly needing to tow a small trailer, the Fisker really seems like the only choice that fits our needs. Also love the looks better. Looks like a member of the Range Rover family if you did not know any better .
@@baysidebitches as far as I can tell there isn't a delivery date, just production dates. The first 5,000 in Nov 2022 and I assume the next level trims following that. One can only hope that delivery starts shortly after production. They won't get to the Sport trim production until the middle of 2023 last I heard.
Much better choice then the Tesla Model Y. Especially in the US, since the Fisker gets the $7500 rebate and the ridiculous price increases that Tesla has been making. I love my Model 3, luckily I bought it before these price increases because I would not buy it at the current price. Not worth it. The Fisker Ocean Ultra is the closest to the base Model Y and it is $20k cheaper with the federal tax credit. Its a no brainer to choose this one. Not only is it cheaper but it has a longer range and California mode which look like fun.
Completely agree. The final price reliability n service, yet to come. Otherwise Design n sales pitch is great…. almost too good to be true. A bit of a gamble.
Fisker Ocean. Nice side-by-side review. I have my Ultra reserved. Need an EV for rugged roads here on the west coast of Norway. Nov -22 is only the release version? Ultra in Q1-23 maybe?
You’re mistaken when it comes to the tax credit. If the only way Tesla can get that credit back is through BBB it’s not happening. That’s been made clear it won’t pass. So that advantage clearly goes to the fisker
Thanks for the information. I've been trying to get a good detailed side by side comparison for a while now. Glad to see it stacks up well against the Y. I put in a reservation on an Ocean a few months ago and can't wait for them to hit the streets!
My vote goes Fisker Ocean AWD Performance, so far. And in a strong second place,my vote goes to Polstar 2. Can you compare it with Polestar 2. Yes, I know it has å bitt less range. But I like the deshboard and center console much! better, inside the Polstar 2. compared to other EV's. If you look right in front of the steering wheel of the Polestar 2, that's what I want to see when I drive å car. Why must absolutely all EV's have to have thes flat screens? 😫😤
Fisher said he will add a third row like the model y but the model y actually didn’t offer a third row for a few months and that is what is going to happen with the fisker
I believe for the advertised price and autonomy also if this is true Fisker will completely have a large part of the market, I love the model it is very beautiful and not too polarizing just enough congratulations to all the team nice work, now exporting this car to Canada here we all want it!
The big difference for me is that the sport (FWD) version of the Ocean is within my budget, but there is no Tesla model I can afford. So the choice for me is very much simplified.
Love the Fisker design n hope the delivery dates are real, but with the supply chain issues and inflation issues, I doubt the value will come our way - really optimistic of them. They kept the door open for increase by way of the delivery cost. No way they can make those prices in Q4 of 2022 and beyond. Like Tesla, their money is on the high end cars, so I would expect the sport to not happen until end of 2023, or 2024. By then pricing will have to be adjusted with inflation. Love the car, but reliability, service n pricing adjustments would be suspect. Awesome look - am in for my second car.
Tesla has its fans, but I can't get past how ugly they are. Build quality and the way too stark interior make me look elsewhere. I like the Fisker styling, I can actually see myself driving the Ocean.
What's going to happen to the EV industry when Tesla switches to 4680 batteries regarding overall range and price of their vehicles??? Fisker's leasing option is by far the most novel of any of the current EV's...
It would be quite an achievement if they can deliver. The problem that I've noticed with Tesla competitors is that they announce something that can do as well or maybe a little bit better than the Tesla of today but by the time they deliver, Tesla has already surpassed the mark
I do wonder about Fisker’s outsourcing strategy. 3rd parties don’t work for free, and in my experience in Pharma/Biotech, are actually more expensive than doing things in-house.
For me it will be Fisker Ocean vs Mach-e. Fisker wins in many parts, but has no lightning poney :-) and no dealer. I wonder how to do yearly maintenance, if the 3rd parties companies will continue working with Fisker for years... Well, we will see. But on the paper (I I've gone into one at Paris car show), the Ocean is a lot more confortable, and white interior is great
Tesla isn't really minimalist in terms of design. It's more tech focused. To some degree the best part of it is its not dominated by a lot of screens. Fisker is more minimalist. Minimalism in design still has design elements and decorative elements, it's not totally devoid or close to totally devoid of them. To me Teslas are beginning to look stale. Maybe it is just me. I was behind both a Tesla Y and Mach E today on the highway. The Model Y is much taller than it looks in pictures and it looks like a bloated 3 and kind of ungainly. The Mach E is OK, kind of like a bloated car but with some style definition. I saw a Model S too and that is attractive, though it too is looking dated. The Fisker at least for now looks fresh and it has more interesting choices of materials inside in terms of sustainability. Here's another area where Tesla seems dated IMO.
Fisker Ocean looks good, but i wondered Adaptive Cruise Control is only offered in top model extreme. ACC is a basic necessity and provided by even honda/toyota for $800. I think Fisker should provide an option to do an add on for this.
I don’t get the pricing, seems low for the work required and I wonder if corners are cut. I’ve tried to get some answers but defenitive answers haven’t been forthcoming. Asking about in home charging and support if/when something goes wrong. Also a more definitive delivery date. I’m ready to give up my M3P and would like an SUV. The ocean is GORGEOUS but what’s the longevity of workmanship going to be. ,
Fisker, i am over tesla we are still waiting on our x the build quality is bad, I have stock in fisker too so I definitely want them to succeed. I am doing a little more research (insurance costs, does it have the maintenance support and electric charging support i need to go on long drives?). I am optimistic, overall I love the design and the solar panel roof. I am gravitating towards the ultra package. I am trying to varify does it come with the roof and the rotating infotainment system. Does it have the entertainment apps, Disney +, Netflix, etc I want to watch while I am chilling charging and or just watching in my car on a coastal beach somewhere?). Thanks for the video!
My lease on a 2019 iPace is up in October 2022 and I’m starting to gather information on its replacement. How does the Fisker Ocean compare to the 2023 iPace?
Fisker Ocean - the brand new design, the sustainability, the business model... Where Model Y is just a bulky version of Model 3, that looks like a pregnant whale.
Hate the rims. I think it can be successful but it's too late in the game to have quality issues like Tesla. It will need to hit on affordability and reliability. Styling is the wild card to get it past Fiskers last failure.
People bent about the shape of the Y. Innovation. Can't build the same old thing all the time. The y is like that for a reason. It is slippery and different. I like it. Though I respect everyone's opinions.
If it was from a new designer/company this would be true. But Henrik Fisker has designed some legendary vehicles for BMW and Jaguar and has already had a dry run with the Karma a decade ago that helped him iron out kinks in production, performance and manufacturing.
Complete nonsense phone they have no one to talk to, you can not see the car. you have to give $ 60.000 and there is no one to talk to if something happens there is no one to turn BULSHIT. To Tesla can u call anytime and talk to people.
1.... Ridiculously tiny speedo display obscured by the steering wheel 2.. stupid gimmicky rotating tablet display and switch gear Otherwise ok.. Will he go bust again..?
