How do you fix the Fitbit versa white screen. My watch screen fell off. It was never dropped or abused. It just loosened. Now the screen is white, I tried rebooting and letting the battery drain and recharging but still shows white screen.

I used 188 degrees C and went around the watch face 60 times - LCD came off super easy.

What is the tool you used to get under the screen? The adhesive on mine will not melt or soften for the tool in the kit to get under it.

So I purchased the kit for this on Amazon got the screen off couldn't get screws out ripped out old screen and the watch was still charging and tracking steps. Then I took it to a guy with a more sturdy screw driver and he put the new band in but removed the little chip that the little band goes to. The little band was disconnected already but the chip was still attached under the new screen . The screen wouldn't work but it would charge now it isn't charging. I'm not sure what to do. I watched a video saying the little ribbon was only for the g pay and other pay apps so I thought it didn't matter.

This unfortunately didn't work for me. Used a heat gun, heated the bleep out of it until it shut off from overheating and I was afraid I was going to melt the components, and was still unable to pry the screen off. YMMV.

i have a head versa 2. It doesn't come on. Is there a way to check if its a battery issue vs a bad screen?

If it's just a faulty screen then when you put it on charge it should still vibrate. Then sensors on the back of the device should also still operate

@@fixfitbits4860 it doesn't do that. When I first saved this issue, I charged it over night and it eventually came back to life but just for a maybe a few hours. Since then, it's just dead. I am assuming it's the battery. Do you know what is the battery used in versa 2?

I noticed the original screen had 2 ribbons and the replacement one had 1 . Is that right, does it still work ok?........Regards Roy

The smaller ribbon is a separate function and the larger ribbon alone allows for the screen to work. We've been told that the smaller ribbon is for Fitbit pay and that it's for wireless charging by different entities. We have neither a wireless charger or pay system to test this. We filmed this video a long time ago and have found since that the smaller ribbon is only stuck to the screen and you can pull it away from your old screen and use it with your new screen. I'm not able to get the metal plate off and I ripped the old screen off and I can't seem to get the new screen with ribbon in place. I think my screws are stripped

I was able to carefully slide a exacto knife under the sensor and remove it from the old screen. It slides under the circuit board with a bit of soft glue in the corner. If you are careful enough, it can be removed and placed in the new screen.
