Cool, thank you! I was wondering who might notice that note, so I appreciate the fact that a loyal viewer/commenter spotted it... honestly I'm getting back into it now after several years away.

Yep, probably a good addition to the process... and I'll be reviewing products like that in an upcoming video, thanks.

Is there a way to get rid of those sticker discoloration marks? Not the sticker residue, but when it is on for so long before I purchased it, it has a lighter discoloration hole.

Yeah, I have experienced that and find it frustrating. Usually I hit the whole visor with a cap brush, trying to make it look more uniform. I find that the steam also helps to diminish the color/texture differences a little bit, so at least you can't see a sharp circular outline. Thanks for the question.

Can you do a comparison about the manufactures of each country and which is the best quality caps

Great suggestion... I did one a few years ago between USA and Asia-manufactured caps, but have not done an update on production sites since the New York plant closed. I'll add that to the list, thanks.

I measured my head with a tape and it was 55cm, so I bought a size 7 Yankees hat, but when wearing it I felt a slight tension on my forehead leaving a mark, I don't know if it's because of my hair which is too long or if it really should having taken a 7 1/8 instead, I had to use this method to stretch , now I must take the 7 1/8 from now on

There's a lot of variation in caps, so this makes some sense what you experienced. If you can get to a store to try on lots of different caps and sizes, you can generally get confirmation on what size is more or less "normal" for you. At my channel I've also got more videos on how to deal with caps that aren't working for you, including what I called the "haircut problem", thanks.

I have a few caps, where after washing, the rear "divides?" shrank, but the front two divides stayed in shape because of the supporting backing of underneath. So when I wear it now, it doesn't look good where the rear portion dips down. Will this bump cap insert and steaming help stretch those portions? Thanks.
@dreinthe616
@dreinthe616 Год назад
Those are normally called “panels” and yes, sometimes the rear ones shrink or sag. I don’t personally use it , but some viewers use spray starch to make those panels hold original shape again. You could stream on the bump cap insert, and when it dries hit it with some spray starch while it’s still on the insert shape, thanks.

@dreinthe616 what is the size of the bump cap insert you use? My fitted hats are 7 5/8 or 7 3/4.
@dreinthe616
@dreinthe616 Год назад
All of the ones I've purchased are one-size-fits-all... and I am a 7-1/2 to 7-5/8. But my favorite is the very plain one used here, made by a vendor called Bullard - thanks.

Man I must have watched and followed every video of this kind on the internet, but my polyester hats always shrink right back.
@dreinthe616
@dreinthe616 Год назад
Agree that this can be a problem - I have a lot of caps, but I find that I do have to "refresh" the stretch every now and then. If you want to maximize effect for a certain cap, you can leave it on the hat jack for a day, then steam stretch it again (and the next day, or until you can't crank any more!)

@@dreinthe616 the best success I've had is snipping the sizing band at the front, rear, and 2 sides, then stretching. Worked well for one hat, but I have 3 others that are still just too tight. I'm gonna try more snips since I have nothing to lose on unwearable hats. Now though, I have a better understanding of how the different factories fit, and I just only order from stores who will tell you the country of origin. This strategy has been working well, and the last 4 hats I've ordered have all fit nicely. Anyways, I like your channel. Definitely some good, data driven content on here.
