Fitting 35”s on a leveled Ford F-150 (315x70r17) Will 35" tires fit on my F-150. 

The only purpose that crash bar has is to make it so the F-150 can barely pass the IIHS's offset crash test. Yea it 'might' save your tie rods and wheels from a 15MPH offset crash but in a serious crash that metal piece would serve no extra protection.

I agree 100% with you I don’t recommend doing this but like I stated in the video this was my brother in laws truck who okay with me doing this. I have kids & would not jeopardize their safety for looks as well. I owned a ford raptor & purchased the correct wheels to accommodate for larger tires so I wouldn’t have to do this. The rear crash bars do. The front not so much. Like he stated ford doesn’t even put them on any of their trucks besides super crews

Trailblazer Films Yea. That was good that you pointed that out at the beginning. A lot of times you have to work with what you have. Hell, I wish I had a brother-in-law that could of handed me those wheels too. As it was I had to save about $3k for my setup wheels and tires. It was time for new tires so the $1500 that went to them doesn’t really count. All the best

I did the whole "lift the body" option. Front bars swapped sides, rears turned 180° bolted back in. I liked that much better than the "chop it" option.

They do now . Started in 2016 . Just put some on my scab , cut all the crap out of my way ;)

Yeah it’s definitely possible it shouldn’t need much prob just as much trimming plus maybe a little to the plastic liner & they should clear.

Go with 34s and 20” rims. 295/60R20 have no rubbing and no mods with 2.5” level kit

In my case I had to do both front & rear with the zero off set.

Possibly not especially if the offset of the wheels isn’t much.

Stock wheels are not zero offset. Not even close.

The tires he installed here (315x70r17) are actually 34.3" tires.

The ride quality was the same with wheel spacers. Just have to make sure you get good quality ones & ones that are hub centric & not lug centric for your truck.

yes, the speedometer is generally software controlled and can be adjusted with most flash tuners, or autozone has a tool you can rent usually for it.

CJB CJB he didn’t do any trimming but there was a slight rubbing only at full lock turns. He was running toyo open country m/t. I’m sure with a less aggressive tire he would be fine like a bfgoodrich ko2

Yes it was a 2in leveling kit not sure what he went with. He just purchased a 3in coil over strut for it. Should be installing soon. Crash bars were in the way when trying to go full lock turn. Yeah they were rubbing pretty bad. Thanks for watching. Subscribe to see the next kit going in.

Bolts weren’t the issues it’s the bars. They hit the body of the truck even when bolts are removed & the front one shut the bumper so it would have to come off as well.

I thought so also but the issue wasn’t the bolts but the bar was hitting the body of the truck & the front ones were hitting the bumper.

Bro if you get into an accident that has enough force to put a motor into the cab I don’t think a small piece of metal will help you.

Honestly you can prob fit a 35” tire with a wheel that has correct offset & just a leveling kit

I find it hard to believe that a 1.5 inch piece of metal tubing makes a difference in a 6,000 pound vehicle during a collision. What are those things made of!?!? Lol. Seriously, if being more crash worthy in the unlikely event of an offset frontal collision is everyone's beef here, why don't you all install those massive wraparound RanchHand grill guards to your vehicles? They are built of the same guage metal tubing, and, based on your reasoning, double or triple the crash-worthiness of your vehicle! You can buy them anywhere! Take it from a crash investigator, when it comes to the forces involved in several-ton vehicles crashes, the effectiveness of these little bars is minimal. Crumple zones in the main frame and airbags decide your fate, not a 1.5 inch piece of square tubing.

@@peruser155 watch the crash test its an obvious difference on how it saves the legs of the people sitting up front. With out those it wouldnt have the crash rating it does and its also not 6000lbs depending what you have its 4000-5600lbs and most people dont have the fully loaded 5600lb truck its expensive. That being said they arnt in the raptor versions but a font end crash is also a lot worse then to a normal f150

They’re zero offset. Puts them about half inch outside fender depending on tire brand & size.
