I had this problem with an old Delmar bike a few months ago, I ended-up putting a 4-stroke kit on it, lol, great video, thanks for sharing.

Another alternative I've had luck with. Apply some cut to size electrical coat to each side of the 1.5in mounting bracket then install. The tape won't break down and will aid in gripping the frame and not wearing paint off.

do the Nel Lusso and Cranbrook have the same diameter tube or will the standard mount work on those?

does it vibrate more like that or is it still smooth even though the motor isn't directly on the frame?

Thanks for watching. It is actually more secure if installed correctly. Not all bike frames can accommodate this and the engine with the carb installed, but if it can, then it is recommended.

Your carb is at an angle tho. It’s not parallel

can this idea be used for a rear gear hub mount?
@TurtleMasterFlex
@TurtleMasterFlex 3 года назад
I've done similar but with a copper coupling. Copper is soft so it can bend to the curve of the hub and squish down really well. I used 2 pieces on each side of the clamp for mine to bring a 1 1/8" hub to fit my 1 1/4" adapter

That's a good idea, too! As far a using it for the rear hub, I personally wouldn't use the coupler I used in this video because the hub is not as strong as the frame; so you could disform the hib when tightening. I would spend the money to buy the adapter from gasbike.net, or return the wrong size cnc mount and purchase the correct size. Just my two cents.

@@SouthernCustomCC fair enough, I assumed as much given that even the el cheapo china doll I've got is pretty torquey.

That's not the only bike hyper has the same problem with the new 2020 model take a look at my RU-vid channel you'll see what I'm talking about with the CNC mount I had to have it specially made by manic mechanic the t-bone bracket that mounts to the motor itself was custom madea lot of the new cruiser bicycles are coming that way you'll have to get a CNC mount for most of them manic mechanic makes the 8mm bracket studs for CNC in different heights for the t bone bracket mount engine 1 .1/4 and 1.1/2 and 1.1/8 keep them brackets T -bone bracket that mounts to the motor

Does it need rubber tube between the rear mount of the engine and the frame?
@SouthernCustomCC
@SouthernCustomCC 3 года назад
I would not suggest using rubber at either points of contact. Metal to metal is a more secure contact in this case. Happy building 👍

I have heard that if you put a fat piece of rubber, it will soften the vibrations couse of the motor.
