Great job there Rob. Makes a difference when you use all the right equipment and tools, so much easier. Like the tip with heat shrink on the lead. cheers Martin
Hi Martin, Thank you for your kind comments. I had bought a new lead to replace the old one but now I've fixed it we can keep the spare in the van. Just need to go away and try it out now. Thanks for watching and best regards. Rob
Wow Andrew, thank you for your positive compliments, much appreciated. I do enjoy the challenge of trying to achieve a factory fit look. Thanks for watching and commenting. Rob
Well explained Rob, really good to watch a how to that’s done properly. I almost cheered when the iPad started charging 👍🏻 Loved the USB tip as well. Life’s made easier when you have the right tools. Thanks for sharing, enjoy your holiday.
Hi Graham. It’s a great feeling when something works after fitting it and knowing we’re going to make full use of it too. We’re on site as I write and I jokingly told Gail I left the charger adapter at home, her face was a picture until the penny dropped! Thanks for watching and take care. Rob
Excellent work as usual, well executed. On your advice whilst away recently I took a look from all angles to try and see the track for the conduit for a roof fan, and yes there dose seem to be a slight shadow running to the 400X400 roof light. so thanks
Brilliant news Keith. Perseverance has paid off. It’s now a case of following my message to you in my video titled 3.5mm aux audio sockets. Let me know how it goes. Thanks very much for watching. Rob
Nice to see you got a decent crimping tool instead of the POS you used in a previous video. If you keep adding stuff to your van though you'll be over weight.
It was a good buy Karl. Sealey brand, came with interchangeable crimping jaws. Yep, I thought about the weight, it all adds up! Nice to hear from you and take care. Rob
Hi Trevor, The wire I used was 1.5mm2, 21amp automotive wire. It matched the original wire feeding the 12v socket where I took the power from which is protected by a 10amp fuse. Hope this helps. Cheers Rob 👍
Great video. I am looking to do a similar conversation. Do you remember the brand name and parts you purchased to do this install .back box, c-line product and pattress)?
I purchased most of the parts from Bailey’s primaleisure.com website and the actual twin c-line USB socket £21.95 and Truma adaptor plate (surround for the socket) £9.05 from eBay. The parts from prima leisure were single bronze back box faceplate, part number 1000096 £7.13. 2 x black tag/cam for black socket back box 1010029 £3.05 Black box for socket 1000086 £6.11. I’ve noticed there are now twin sockets with one USB A and one USB C which could be handy. Hope this helps, Cheers Rob 👍
Hi Alexander, I purchased from ebay. Search for automotive wire and lots of sizes and colour choices will appear. Thanks for watching. Best regards. Rob
Hi Steve, I ordered the USB module, 1mm2 automotive wire and loom tape from eBay. The piggy back terminals came from Halfords. The back box, surround and cams I ordered from Bailey parts website www.primaleisure.com and the ferrules crimping kit from amazon but you don’t really need this. The heat shrink was also from Amazon. So a mix of sources. You should be able to find what you need by the parts photos. If you struggle finding something come back to me and I’ll try and find them for you. Hope you find them all. Cheers Rob
Rob, I’m unsubscribing from your channel. When R lass sees your new videos I have to do the same. Lol. Ha ha mind you we do need the extra sockets. Another Awesome video Rob. Thank you so much pal.👍👍
