This video is showing how I fitted a Defender troop carrier style roof to a FFR Perentie. The video does not show me making the cuts on the side panels and roof but i do show you where I have done them and I explain roughly why and where they need to go (at least my reasoning for it).

Oh I never said like to Thank you cause it was because of this video I found out it was possible to fit the canopy without removing the ROPS so cheers for that , 👍 God Bless

Why not just unbolt the roll bar and use side panels that have the seat belt mounting points? You would not need to butcher a hardtop? Also didn’t you put the upper gasket back in? And what about the roof rack mounting fingers that are typically on the roll bar pointing straight up in the are?

@@Benjamin-gp3dl thanks for the comment. I wanted the added protection of the roll bar. If you mean gasket between top of sides and roof, yes it went back in. From memory there were no roof rack mounting fingers pointing straight up, they were rivnuts into the roll bar.

@@LandySmurf thanks for the clarification. I’m looking at purchasing a Perentie I’ve not seen it in person yet. But I’ve been without a 110 for 10 years and trying to make it happen. But also looking to see what things I can do to improve comfort and functionality.

Probably would make it easier but I like them on as I use them when camping.

Is is necessary to place a Sealing Betten the body of the car and the Hardtop Sidewalls?

If I didn't, then there would have been some gaps, you probably could get away without doing it but it will reduce the dust and water. The bottom of the sides had the standard seal on it and I added the other one.
