I hardly hear it to be honest... no different to having the cross bars on.

If you put a roofbox for example on the bars, do you still get any solar power?

@@elliotbrough8743 if they cover the panel at all then energy generated will be significantly impacted.

Hey! If you cover the solar, depending how much you cover it you will certainly loose the effectiveness of the panel yes. Cheers!
