Welcome to Motorhoming Adventures.
We very much hope you will subscribe to this new channel with our sincere thanks.
When we bought our Mobilvetta motorhome in 2021 it had a single habitation battery fitted but space for a second so I decided to use that space. The longer term project is to upgrade the solar panels too now that we have double the battery power so we have better off grid capability - and ultimately an inverter to finish it off :)) So this is phase one!!
We used to upload our films to 'Offshore and Onshore Adventures' but have now had such an amazing response from all our subscribers that we have created this channel for all things motorhoming!!
(Our marine and boat adventures are now on our channel called Powerboating Adventures)
@Powerboating Adventures
We are transferring our motorhome content from that channel across to this new one, together with lots of new films and travels coming very soon!! /
Explore our AMAZON STOREFRONT for motorhome accessories, brimming with inspiration and ideas for your motorhome. We earn a small commission from Amazon (at no extra cost to you), which helps support our channel in meeting the costs of filming and editing our channel content.

Just a question The negative to the new battery I can see you have it bolted on the the right side does it matter out the 3 bolt connectors you add the cable to

Thanks for watching Peter and not to my knowledge, or research, as long as all the connections are clean and firmly tightened was my take on it so theres a clean flow of current between the two as they act as 'one' when in use.

Great video but my 2018 model has three fuses - removed all 3 and the solar controller is still illuminated?? Any help appreciated

Many thanks Chung - do you mean a Mobilvetta? Our inline solar fuse ultimately goes back to the main fuse board so you could isolate the whole hab area if you have a more central master fuse switch. Did you get a User Handbook with the van which should also specify the exact fuse or if it's not a Mobilvetta then there would be a FB forum or YT channel for your specific van which might have someone that knows where to isolate :)) Hope that helps and thanks for watching :)

Thanks Steve and I'd use 50mm square connecting cables. That would be AWG 1 or thereabouts. Here's a link to that type of cable - I used Alpha to source the parts for my battery upgrade www.alpha-batteries.co.uk/sterling-power-pair-of-50mm2-battery-linking-cables-with-m8-eyelets-300mm-length/ Those have M8 eyelets so just check that would be suitable for your setup - you can get different cable ends depending on your needs :) Hope that helps and thanks again for watching our channel Steve :)

You're lucky you've got space for a second leisure battery right next to the one you already with no space to do it.

It was lucky Graham - it should have been an option to add a second at purchase I guess but they did t say anything at the time - would like to eventually go Lithium 😁 Thanks for watching 🚌

You’ll always have 13.41 as that’s the volts coming in. Not what the battery hold currently as a charge!

That battery company were no help at all when I had an intermittent problem with a 3 week old item. Will never use them again no matter how cheap unfortunately.
