It's all about having fun mate fair play, if you haven't towed before it might be worth getting some pointers or advice... or practice with an small trailer much harder to manoeuvre than large trailer 👍
Your description is wrong, it's not just those who passed before 2013 - it's everyone who holds a valid category B (car) will get B+E added, irrespective of when they passed their test :) So basically everyone since 1st Jan 1997 (which is when the law changed last time).
I would have gone with the same towbar Dan as you can't be to safe when towing trailers. It's been a lot of years since I fitted a towbar and while they have made the electrics easier it seems to be a right faff fitting the actual unit with having to remove the complete bumper, back in my day it was just drilling a few holes then bolting it on under the bumper 🙄😂👍
Hi Dan, Could you let us know the make of the Tow Kit that you used, please as well as the electric kit please as the one you have used looks easier than others.
My wife wants a discovery sport, and I want something that can tow a track car. Would you recommend it for its towing abilities? Whats the actual towing capacity of it, land rover dealer say 2.8t google says 2.2t
It's only classed as hire or reward if you are earning from it and it's a main source of income, it's less than 7.5 tonne train weight so operator's licence is not needed and if a tacho is not fitted to the vehicle there is no need to use one....also means there is no need for a cpc qualification.
