Overall good movie, but very obvious that there was no cohesion to the trilogy. With the fact that TLJ answered no questions, the speed of this movie isn’t as bad as everyone is making it out to be. Would’ve been GREAT to see these answers split between TLJ and TRoS

I’ve been loving all of the Mandalorian reviews you guys have put out. I was a little worried when I saw Fran was in on this video, I like Fran but never consumed much of her content. She was an excellent addition and she really knew her shit.

why is fan service such a negative term? isn't that exactly what the movie is for, to show the fans things they want to see i.e. great callbacks, inventive plot, NOT REY AND BEN KISSING

When it comes out for home release maybe there will be an extended edition, where all cut scenes are included. this is actually the reason why I stick with the extended editions of The Lord of the rings movies. But the theatrical cut for this was also pretty good.

I think they should’ve went the infinity war route and make it 2 movies. Cut it after the fight on the Death Star and make each half its own non rushed cohesive story

Merry Christmas guys 🎅💞Seen it seven times now and I am really enjoying it. With subsequent viewings my appreciation has deepened and I love how it references not only the other Saga films but ancillary, animated and even Legends material. Kylo Ren is a boss but the return of Ben Solo was AMAZING. Perfect? Not at all. Entertaining? Hell yeah🤘😜Not sorry for liking TROS but have genuine compassion for those who are upset/angered/offended by this film ✌😌MTFBWY

TFA, ROS, TLJ... really wish JJ did all 3, Rian Johnson fucked it all up and JJ did the best with what he had left. Saying Palpatine was the plan along is a load of crap. Snoke was clearly the big bad and RJ killed him off

I don't like the narrative that some try to push that people didn't like TLJ because "they don't like new things". That a gross generalization and misrepresentation of why many didn't like the film. Perhaps they didn't like the undercooked characterization of established characters. Perhaps they didn't care for the fact that it ignored/disregarded the themes set up from the previous film. There was a lot not to like about the movie besides it being something "new". I just came out of ROS and I can easily say that I haven't liked any of these new films. The JJ films are nostalgia dependent copies of much better films and RJ forgot that he was making the 8th movie to a 9 part saga. They are both bad for slightly different reasons.

I give it a 68 out of 100 liked it didn't love it wished they would have not mentioned the other ships in the 3rd act, that's what made Endgame awesome and i feel like her being related to Palatine was to hinted to much with the troop transport

Very VERY clear there was no cohesive story for the whole trilogy and them saying Palpatine was always planned was total BS. It made no sense at all why the hell Palpatine was back or how he was back, it was ridiculous. The movie has some very odd stuff in it and is jammed full of random missions and quests but overall it’s a damn entertaining movie with some fantastic action sequences. But I think a lot of people would agree that this sequel trilogy has been a massive disappointment. Adam Driver and Daisy Ridley did so much to help this movie but my god that last scene between the 2 of them was absolutely ridiculous.

it doesn't make sense he is back? Someone who saw future, who time travelled and who knew about beating death and you are telling me it doesn't make sense he had backup plan because he knew that Luke bring him down in ep6? There was always theory in Star Wars Universe that Palpatine still lives. Also I think that Rey was Palpatine's daughter was planned from beginning, I don't think Palpatine as big was planned, i think they planned only use his cameo for fans but not as main villain.

xxdavecz It was very clear putting palpatine as the big villain wasn’t planned at all because he is just jammed in there in a ridiculous way. They tried their best to explain it but it’s never really done very well to explain how he’s back or anything.

xxdavecz I know about the emperor’s contingency program in old EU legends material but in the movie it was all explained away in a 30 second dialogue dump and then just never really addressed again. “He’s been rebuilding in the unknown regions” is not a good explanation as to why the emperor suddenly shows up in the last installment of the trilogy. JJ was setting up Snoke to be his big bad but with the events of TLJ my guess is he swerved and just put Palpatine in there because he had no other choice

@@ryani.8916 True! And they keep calling her Princess all the way through. Although I suppose it could be an honorific thing, the way an exiled member of royalty is still known as king or princess even when the country he or she governed abolished monarchy.

Look i was extremely disappointed with this film. But i suppose its because it wasnt as enjoyable as i thought tlj was. I enjoyed the dialogue in tlj and not so much in tros. But i am happy this trilogy is over because i want to see what else they will do with the new characters past this format

It's hard to wrap your head around recycled dialogue and the need for excessive exposition. Considering the fact it's tied to a full trilogy it lacks the ability for appropriate storytelling. (6/10) ( * 2 * / 5 )

Robbie Is comical in how hard he tries to seem like the alpha. The scene where Rey shoots the force lightning “yeah I was 100% she was a palpatine” like come on buddy, there’s literally no way you could have known for sure
