THE ACOLYTE: EPISODE 7 shows the events of Episode 3, from the Jedi perspective....and the revelation is a solid contender for "most unfulfilling part of this mess". Here are my thoughts... #TheAcolyte
@@josephbartholomew They did a showing of the latest cut of the series to the crew and filmed their reaction. Leslie Headland, standing among the corpses: "I wonder if I can just edit this into the script somehow."
Not telling the jedi council is the only thing they could think to justify the existence of this show. That being said, they should’ve realized what a piece of shit plot this was
@@alexdean9287 bro wtf how can you just act like thats nothing. She went from Personal assistant to Harvey Weinstein to a director of Star Wars. Has naked dudes with chicks checking out his dong. Star Wars is NOT game of thrones. Yea it makes a lot of sense why this show is so sick on so many levels.
@@The_Reality_FilterIt’s really important that “journalists” continue to confront in (EVERY single interview) Mel Gibson and his comments from 15 years ago, any Friends actor about the lack of diversity in their show from 20 years ago while never calling out Headland or the likes of Howard Stern for their behaviour. Why pass up a fawning, giggling, interview?
Witches: You're not welcomed here! You can't take our daughter! Your ways are a threat to our existence! You better leave or else! (activates Darkside magic) Sol: (stabs Witch Mama) Witch Mama: (tearfully misunderstood) Why--? I was gonna let you take her. (dies) Me: ...yeah, that tracks.
@@Jon_ELJust like the lies at the end. It's female logic. Why TF would you lie about any of this? It just makes no sense. "Because I didn't want you to think that...." How about you tell me the truth and let me think my natural thoughts you she devil! 🤣🤣🤣
Dude. Your explanation was so good, and I had the exact same thoughts the whole time. The gaslighting “I was gonna let her go” was so BS. Thanks for being a voice of reason!
@@peterdanior4538 Exactly, it wasn't gaslighting, she cried when Osha told her she wants to go, she told the coven she was gonna let her go (and they were upset), why would she lie with her last breath about letting Osha go? What I don't get is why she started to transform if she was going to let Osha go anyway, maybe she felt threatened, Idk..There's plenty of things that don't make sense here
Yeah maybe she should have said that when she first saw Sol, instead of "you shouldn't have come back" aggressively and with arrows pointed at the Jedi, or whatever she said LOL
@jeffreyroedel9804 it was laughably stupid. So funny that Headland is trying to make the witches out to be victims of the jedi, instead she made them literally idiots that cause their own destruction, haha. Insane this got past pre production
I’ve been eager to see how this story resolves. Not because I’m interested in the story, but it’s more like a medical diagnosis. I just want to know how bad the situation is so I know how to move forward as a fan.
I mean, all symptoms point to a malignant tumor of a very aggressive cancer. This could've been diagnosed very early on but they're just dragging it out
@@brandonbright7549do I detect you having a problem with that? Interesting you have a problem with a character from a marginalized community, specifically a queer woman of color. Do you actually think in 2024 it’s acceptable to feel that?
Thats exactly what this show would do to keep in line with the shit writing. I guess oshas "im not my sister i wont be easily corrupted" was bullshit lol. Osha and mae are shit characters, i hope theres not a second season
My only interest in Star Wars these days is seeing critics make fun of it. I loved the movies up through Roge One, didn't have time to keep up with The Mandalorian. After that I couldn't care less.
Ecobase Network did a great skit, the bit from Spaceballs where they're combing the desert and he says "we ain't found shit" but the skit has the wookie saying that while holding the metal detector 😂
I know Star Wars has always been famous for repurposing real-world items into cool sci-fi props, but they really put no effort into making that metal detector look like anything but just a metal detector.
@@MSnell And there wasn't even a good reason for it in the first place. The levels of stupidity are hard to fathom. But it goes right along with 'take the wheel' and 'I'll reset it to factory settings'. And writing Jedi into awkward law enforcement and Child Protective Services positions. Oh, and the hip-hop credits music. Can't forget that gem.
@@patientmental875have you not watched the show like at all? Cus if you’re believing everything ur hearing here then I feel bad, if you did then fair enough.
I'll say one good thing to come out of all this is that "The power of manyyy but it's a rave" video. Even has our pal Torbin drinkin' it up at the rave!
Disney spent several hundred million dollars so a woman who dodged a bunch of sexual abuse charges that her boss got to write her own personal fanfiction.
I remember when episode 3 and 4 came around people were like: "You're all being too harsh! Soon, all questions will be answered and it will all make sense!" And, no, nothing does. Why doesn't Master Squid Game just use the force to hold the girls up instead? Why do all of the witches tap into the "matrix" or whatever knowing that they could all die by doing that? Why does Tommen Lannister kill himself? I don't see any reason he should feel guilty about literally anything. Etc. etc. etc. This plot is being held together by duct tape. Edit: Btw, I find all of these responses shaky at best. I'd go as far as to say Acolyte defenders are trying to write the show for the writers, even.
Now those same people are saying "Oh I'm excited, they are leaving a lot of mystery for season 2! I can't wait" I don't get how people are that bias or stupid idk which one to still think Disney Star Wars will amount to anything special. A few good shows out of how much money? It's pathetic.
At least the hate is creating a camaraderie with the left and the right. The shared opinions about the series has become the most effective way to bring two opposing groups together.
Well yah cause sans the extremists people of political spectrums can get along because unless your extremists your poltical learnings aren't your entier personality
Sol: Sees a dark side witch disintegrating a child with the force and kills the witch to save the child. Writers: "See, the Jedi are totally bad guys."
Is that what the writer wants to to view the Jedi? I think the Jedi are depicted to be morally grey not evil. Or see the witches as sympathetic villians
"We just humanized the Dark Side by mind-controlling people, then controlling the body of a Wookie to MURDER people, and then attempted to disintegrate our own child." Ah yes, totally humanized. XD
10 years ago my brother was a camp counselor and saved another counselor from falling to her death off a roof and in response she threw her drink in his face, punched him and spent the rest of the summer talking $¥€% about him. Most people apparently were like "umm, didn't he save your life, what's your problem?" to which she'd shut up and start talking #@■£ again an hour later.
I wouldn't even mind it, if they did it well, but it's written with the same care as a clickbait article from the 2010's: "Here are 26 reasons why the jedi are more evil than you thought." The characters aren't "morally grey" they're just dumb. Nothing morally ambiguous really happens on screen. The Jedi are just incompetent, the witches are acting needless ingressive, and Qimir is murdering Jedi for no reason. Beyond the sisters and qimir basically looking at the camera and saying "I think the Jedi are the real villains" there isn't any ambiguity. Worst of all, it's just saying the same thing as the prequels: The Jedi's ridged dogma and moralism is turning people to the darkside, rather than saving them from it. It's copying the second most prolific story within Star Wars, and acting like it came up with these ideas on it's own, and worst of all, it's doing it a lot worse, and still patting itself on the back.
The entire season they've been talking about some cover up, and it made me think the Jedi really did some heinous shit, but this is nothing. The Jedi are barely even in the wrong here.
Yah but you have to remember the show was made by and for stupid people who will not qustion why any of this happend because a paid shill will go omg that's so shocking!
Were they wrong at all? Sounds like there was a disagreement and then witches started mind controlling people and disintegrating children and the Jedi response was "nu uh" and lightsabered the problem. Sounds perfectly above board to me.
There's a line in the show about them interfering too much... which leads me to think the writers thought the Jedi follow Star Trek's Prime Directive. Their coverup story seems to only cover up that part of the story, too.
The wookie jedi with the metal detector was like "Fuck this, im looking for coins"..😂😂. This, quite literally was what i was thinking when i saw this scene.
Thank you Jeremy for watching the Acolyte so we don’t have to. You need to be awarded with Purple Heart, Presidential Medal, Nobel Peace Prize and all awards that is available in this world. I can only watch like the first 10 minutes of the 1st episode then decided I value my mental health more.
Because the writers are amateurs. You can still save both and just have one have a skewed version of the events that transpired, wait for it… …because she’s just plain evil and blames all her problems on everyone else instead of taking responsibility for her own actions.
Sol actually changed his mind about training her upon seeing she wasn't smart enough to save her life by taking two steps backwards, so he was ACTUALLY trying to force pull the platforms down but he's dyslexic.
The show's got problems, for sure (and one hell of a weird choice for a closing credits song). But some of the things that can be answered (not necessarily defended): • "M Count" was first used (to my knowledge) in Bad Batch, though there was no explanation for why there, either. I get the sense that they are trying to have their cake and eat it, too, by adopting, basically, Midchlorians for all intents and purposes but without using the word "Midichlorians" to leave room for fans to imagine that it could potentially be something other than that word they hate. • We don't know yet whether or not the twins are the vergence. Or if there is even truly one. • We've known for a long time now that the jedi order (not necessarily the jedi faith) had hubris, complacence, and self-righteousness festering within it. Wasn't that the whole point of the prequels? Wasn't it all those things that led to the deaths of Clone Troopers Tup and Fives (indirectly sending Anakin deeper into his spiral) and unjust manhunt against Ahsoka?
'So there's this order of stoic wizard monks.' 'Okay.' 'And all of their decisions are impulsive and ill conceived.' 'Why? I thought you said they were stoic monks?' 'Because the plot has to happen.'
on point for the prequels tbh. i think prequels and disney are trashy films. Just because one is less trash than the other doesn't make it become good.
You're not wrong that a lot of it is plot contrived instead of skillful interwoven revaltions of past events, but I will say that we tend to forget we get the interesting stories of the few Jedi that mess up, not a true window into how the majority of stoic wizard monks would act.
@nanonano2595 true. But prequels had little gems within. Clones and droids were pretty dope. All new stuff? Other then mando really hasnt added stuff. Also episode 3 fights. Peak
I think the reason Trinity didn't tell the council was because the Jedi wouldn't have accepted Osha after all that and she would've lost her family for nothing along with her chance to become a Jedi. I mean, I'm not defending this show's many poor choices in writing, acting, dialog, etc. But I understand Jedi Trinity's thinking (that's what I'm calling her). I think she also took pity on Jedi Sol and his moment to finally get a padawan. I'm not saying she made the right or wrong choice but I understand her motivation.
Prometheus was incredible. Beautiful development of the alien lore. Such a shame Ridley copped out and then we got that shit covenant. A couple silly character moments did not ruin Prometheus
Jedi in Acolyte: If even the faintest hint of the slightest whiff of Dark Siders ever gets out, the Government will be all up in our shit!!! Jedi in the true canon: The Sith are 100% confirmed to be back and the president immediately made literally all of us Generals of the galactic military.

I may be wrong but i think they show that the fire go into the walls by burning electrical wires, lead pipes and maybe a wooden structures, we see it more when the twins meet in the big circular room when the flammes burst out of it. Cathedrals and castles burned because of that
The lack of moral consistency for the characters and the Jedi overall is more telling about the world Lesley and the writers inhabit than anything attributed to Star Wars lore.
I'm going to leave a fairly comment here, and with that being the case, I will need to ask you to look up a couple of things in your free time to fully understand what I am trying to get across. Yuri Bezmenov, "Four Steps for Communist Ideological Subversion" Reverse Psychology Hegelian Dialectic (Problem, Reaction, Solution". I'll get you started with step one of the "Four Steps.." Demoralization - this is a process which can take about 15-30 years to perform (a generation). *During this stage, the moral fibre and integrity of the country is put into question, thereby creating doubt in the minds of the people. To do so, manipulation of the media and academia is required to influence young people. As the younger generation embraces new values, such as Marxism and Leninism,* the older generation slowly loses control simply through attrition. Again, true facts no longer matter during this stage, but rather creating perceptions are of paramount importance. Communism and Religion Abolished - all religious and metaphysics is rejected. *Engels and Lenin agreed that religion was a drug or “spiritual booze” and must be combated. To them, atheism put into practice meant a “forcible overthrow of all existing social conditions.”* --Where does the US/West get moral values and ethics from? Is it not from Judeo-Christian teachings? These Liberal, Marxist activists like Leslye Headland want you to question if good is good, or evil is evil. They want you to begin to think that morality is not given by a God Who is the absolute authority and Judge of moral behavior, but it is instead "subjective" to the individual and is shaped by a relationship of oppressor and the oppressed. Eliminating American exceptionalism, fundamental change of national identity, *structural deconstruction of foundational principles, elimination of religion. Embedding a new societal design upon the psyche of generations through ideological academia, peer pressure by elites upon academics and society to convince that prior values were inherently flawed, racist, prejudiced etc.* National identity is diluted with aspersions toward historical references. *National History is re-written, re-defined, and molded to fit the new intended behavioral model and create the new values.* ---Star Wars has been around for nearly 50 years. It is a part of our national, social, cultural and individual history, so they must mold it to fit their ideological narrative. *“[T]he useful idiots, the leftists who are idealistically believing in the beauty of the Soviet socialist or Communist or whatever system,* when they get disillusioned, they become the worst enemies. That’s why my KGB instructors specifically made the point: never bother with leftists. Forget about these political prostitutes. *Aim higher.* [...] They serve a purpose only at the stage of destabilization of a nation. *For example, your leftists in the United States: all these professors and all these beautiful civil rights defenders. They are instrumental in the process of the subversion only to destabilize a nation. When their job is completed, they are not needed any more...They will be lined up against the wall and shot.”*
Uninhabited since a hyperspace accident 100 years earlier. Doesn’t excuse the show from the overall writing but it would explain why there are ruins and structures from before the disaster
@@Jan_Iedema even so, the witches are held up in a giant mining base on top of a mountain, full of power, running machines and a bunch of other things which should have triggered some signature readings on a scanner.
