Hello Birchwood biker, I think I’ve found the ones on e bay, let me know what you think after you’ve done a long ride on the new pegs. Enjoyed the vid as usual. CB
Spanking gorgeous job. Your sump looked quite oily.. anyway, get that suspension done, bang on some knobblies and you'll be Manchester's answer to itchy boots 😊
Tbh if’s u don’t want to get a massive headache from killing your engine in 2 seconds, then u instantly take off your sump guard. First time ever hitting anything with that thing mounted directly to your engine it’s forever dead, it’s going to be costly u rip the entire engine. If you don’t believe me I sent you some pictures and you wish you never had put it on.
@@dimitriskatsoulis4986 no but if’s protecting the engine is done whit any kind of mounting on engine itself then u might be better whiteout any protection at all. U need to mount protection on the frame parts for doing the job that includes engine mounting bolts too, Al other parts will be ripped out of the engine and crack the block or sump. I just made my own for cheap, full coverage for engine and shock protection and only mounted on the frame
@@jesandresen5048 great advice! I just bought an nc750x and was thinking of putting this sump guard myself cause the engine seems totally unprotected but your message cancelled my thought! Do you have any video on your DIY sump guard?
@@dimitriskatsoulis4986 no but if you’re on messenger or WhatsApp I can send you some pictures and the blueprint for the skid plate I made myself, one tools I used was a jigsaw hammer drill and bits angle grinder and pease off wood. Then I got a friend to weld the brackets together I made, made the hole thing for a maximum of 25 euros all inclusive
@@birchwoodbiker hey mate! I'm definitely putting crash bars on the bike for the plastics but the dodgy sump guard is to be avoided from what I understand...what's your thoughts? I feel it can indeed protect from flying rocks and stuff but hitting at a planted rock on the ground and it's probably bye bye my poor engine, maybe?!
