It will be interesting to see how the Aoocci measures up. I'm still umming and arring about getting one, or which one to get.. so I'll be watching closely! Now we've slept since the ride out, I have to say it was really good to get out with new people, I was really inpressed with everyone, good riding, great craic, really nice blokes. Lots in common, instant bonding :-) anyway I'm sure there will be many more runs to come. As for keeping the group together, it wasn't so bad, maybe room for improvement but as you say it all works out in the end. Senna mesh is good ;-)
Trying to put modern technology on a 90+ year old engine design dosnt seem to make any sense? Boxer engines and gearboxes have always been agricultural, to put it politely! Been better puting this ASA on the XR, and leaving the GS as it was.
In 2023 I got an MT09SP, a fantastic bike, light and agile, brilliant engine. However, after developing the neuropathy in both feet, I could no longer ride. I started in 1966, and this was such a blow to me. It was watching your channel, and your enthusiasm for the NC, that I decided to take the plunge and swap for a 2024 model in May. The DCT is a revelation, fantastic. The bike is not perfect, but what bike is! I've fitted a Nitron cartridge kit to the front forks, and a full Black Widow exhaust, but the main problem for me is the weight, it is a bit too heavy. Anyway, keep up the good work, your vids are great, and certainly helped me to choose the great NC!
@@davidoram3423 thanks for great comments, I do keep thinking of suspension upgrade, if I buy it at the end of the PCP I probably will do, and your right DCT 228kg,
The point in the video where you said about stopping and having a brew in the total silence, that's what I did, and the four hairy arsed bloody bikers turned up 😂😂😂😂😂😂
I’m thinking off getting one. I ride a GSA at the moment but finding it so heavy now I’m a lot older. I’m not a fast rider like to take my time these days.

nothing wrong with going at a pace that's comfy, myself and Tony lost the pack as long as you can set destinations on the way doesn't matter what rd your on, the NC hasn't got the same off-road capability as the BMW but it's riding and weight are down low there is only about 10kg difference get a ride on it 1st I love mine to bits but it fits me👍👍👍🍻
I have one with timing mod one tooth short on the front sprocket r6 exaust tuned plus wide bars and absolutely love it I ride it more than my BMW s1000r.
@@MrJkfamilyguy59 she two timings me for a guy called slimline Gin 😂😂😂🍻👍she used to come out on the back 20 years ago, and may start coming with me on small runs
Good video, especially the job part. I always told my kids, 3rd class wages, are better than 1st class dole. As you say, when you are in a job, you can always find another. If you are out of work, it can be really difficult.
The plastic panels between the pillion seat and foot pegs rubbed against the missuses legs above her ankles when we both sat on one. Shame cos I liked it.
Nice title and sentiment! If it was up to me, those who want to drive on four wheels, such as cars and vans, would have to go through riding on two-wheels first and ideally for a minimum period. Being able to go straight into a wheeled metal box with no prior experience of the road is ridiculous as the protection is such that is precludes awareness unless the driver either forces it, as with advanced driving, or learns it from the natural vulnerability from riding on two wheels on public roads.
You made some very good points in this video. Nice one! Watching this somehow got me thinking of how some cars today have stupidly tiny lights on them, particularly at the rear, with the indicator section little more than a lego brick in size! How is anyone is supposed to notice the indicator in bright light or when the rest of the light cluster is lit? I think the legislation on vehicle lighting needs revising and bringing up to date.
If you ride in someone's blind spot very long, don't be surprised when they pull out in front of you. True in a car, but especially on a motorbike which are difficult to see at the best of times.
There are no fcking wnkers. I never understood the expression. If they are fcking they don't need to wnk. Call them wnkers, twts, Irish or Brits but fking wnkers make no sense at all. Or is it just me being a twt? Edit: Calling him a tosser was being to nice to him. Just saying.
He needs reporting, that would have scared the crap out of me, a new rider going on the motorway for the 1st time might have reacted differently and now be another sad statistic 😔. I hope your ride went a lot better today fella 👍
I'm sorry but this is nonsense, and I've heard this to often. This is an anecdotal opinion and makes me feel that you have no understanding on what is it really like now, what are the costs of a house, how hard do people work and so on. So you paid about 1 third of you wages for a house, any idea what that ratio is now. I heard a number just the other day about 78 billion a year is spent on housing benefit, this could be a wrong figure but I don't doubt its somewhere high in this region which is a direct result of the right to buy scheme. So not only have todays generations got to deal with the lack of council/social housing, but they also have to bare this cost. And before anyone starts harping on about welfare costs of work dodgers and so on, there is a much larger portion of benefits being paid to low wage working families then there is work dodgers and if you believe otherwise then do show me this evidence.
Cheers MadMglory, I fully understood what I said and I in most part agree with you social housing Manchester City Council wer one of the authoraties which divided all there stock into TRUSTS I know I worked for CITY SOUTH HOUSING, there stock and funds when they took over were in need of renorvation and money The councils and Goverments from 1980's destroyed them MONEY in 1980 £1 in 1980 is equivalent in purchasing power to about £5.37 today, benifits wereen't given out like candy we had a GOLD RESERVE WHICH BROWN sold for less than it's value, I worked like many other's much longer hours BANKS were much mor regulated 5% depsit was required like I say luck fell into my lap I was given 20% by the goverment free because the only house I could afford on my wages was a council eqivelent, I could not save 2k in them years, On my ride out yesterday 2 of the rider's one 10 years younger and one 15 years older had homes lost them due to situations changing LUCK, sorry that you feel I'm blaming people but listen a bit closer I'm NOT 👍
I re-trained in Social Care and work with adults with learning difficulties , the job is very hard work and poor pay (minimum wage) but also very rewarding , I feel sorry for younger staff who work really hard and long hours for a terrible salary with no hope of buying a house etc.
Totally agree it's the incompitent Goverment the heay case of managment and the increased direct and in direct taxes that have done this across the board.👍👍👍
Im having to restrain myself from going into a long winded rant about socialism and the detriment of minimum wage etc. One of the biggest factors that led to the fall of the Soviet Union was bureaucracy. We are building a society where the top of the tree (management) is becoming much larger than the roots (working class). At which point the proverbial tree will fall under its own weight. Its not sustainable to import workers because our own children wish to sit in offices (or at home) whilst the poorest pick up our shit.
morning birchy. That copper was a numpty. Nice angry mode, sounds familiar! 😆Well I have no idea what figures the government and media are looking at when they say there was growth because I'm not seeing it from my trade. My local bike dealer is quiet, and in fact everyone I know is quiet. Motorcycles in the UK are a luxury item and when pennies are tight people hang on to what they have or don't embark on their motorcycling journey. The long, long wait for the budget has done nothing for anyone and many are dreading next week.
Hi there, just found your channel, looks great. Sent a sub as I miss the English roads sometimes, started a channel here in Sweden few months back but no where near your size yet, learning the ropes & trying to grow, I'll enjoy going through your vids mate, cheers & rude safe
Took the CAT off mine and fitted a De-cat unit. Let the ponies out. Got ride of the low speed uncertainty and drive line snatch. Bit louder at the exhaust but pleasantly bearable. Not much change of fuel consumption either. It's a great bike. Cheers and happy rides out.
Some do cross words others ride motor bikes both are very good for your mental health 😂 Off topic ..... what tyres do you have on your NC as mine need changing and as your happy with the ride of your NC I thought you be thr best person to ask
Sorry Andrew not rode one, but people seem to have good feedback, go and test one I don't have much luck with Wigan Suzuki and Yamaha they don't seem to want me to ride them probably not a big enough RU-vid Channel🤔🤔👍
I was out on mine and forgot to send you a pic but to be honest it's just a standard NC DCT in Blue Denim so there's not much to see. It's just got a Rad guard and center stand and Huggers back and front. I'll send pics next time I unravel it cos It lives in my yard and it's a pain.
When I took my test in the seventies the examiner said do a figure of eight around a set of roads until he did the emergency stop. Off I went, I don't know how many times I went round, but on the last lap I saw him coming out of the mini supermarket and he saw me looking at him, guess what, I passed.
