This is a brilliant model mate! I'm glad Hornby have started going down the TT120 route! I hope other UK manufacturers do too! This looks a brilliant scale to work with! It's not a lot different to n gauge.👍

Great video. Most useful. I might try this with my A3 Blink Bonny as it’s the only one of my three locos that seems to need a stay alive at the moment. Many thanks!
@PeachyTT120
@PeachyTT120 5 месяцев назад
Bear in mind that Blinky’s coal tender is a one piece moulding, so you need to cut the coal out with something like a Dremel. Have fun.

@@PeachyTT120 ahhhh, in that case I’ll have to think twice. At the moment, my stay alive is in the drivers cab and doesn’t look very good 😂

Just looking at the AE Model power banks from DCC Concepts 16.8 x 21.2 x 5.2. Just plucking up the nerve to cut the coal insert (I don’t think you showed that bit). I think it will fit in the Falcon with a higher coal load. The power bank is level with the top of the tender sides so might have to heap a little. I guess I could look in the loco

Yes I thought these might be e useful as they’re thinner. Good luck & tell us how you get on

Hi Peachy, if space was really tight, could you remove one of the three capacitors. If yes, would you bridge the gap left by the missing capacitor or leave it open? It would, I assume, give you less time, but would it work? Thanks for another informative video, much appreciated.

Ah you see Ken, this video shows you that I’m quite happy to use a power-bank but I’ve no idea how they work 🤷🏻‍♂️😀

Question. I was calculating and it is cheaper to buy already HM7000 fitted loco instead of buying loco and decoder separately. This is right?
@PeachyTT120
@PeachyTT120 5 месяцев назад
As Taff says, yes slightly cheaper (I think approximately £10) but Hattons sold the 18 pin version at £45 in the big sell off so that’s £20 cheaper than the RRP (I bought a few 😉)
