I set about fitting some new tyres to our caravan, I have never jacked up a caravan before but as it was going to save me £100 I was up for the challenge.

Spare that is under caravan insurance states 5yrs same as tyres If you place spare in front boot insurance says 7yrs as not getting stone chippings of road

Was waiting for skint knuckles there with that long extension. Would use short or no extension to finally tighten.

I would remove the old number plates because an eagle eyed copper might spot it and just pull you over to check van hadn’t just been stolen. You can get as spray cans of glue/tar remover give that a try.

My camera died, so couldn’t actually film it but I did manage to get them both off they just pulled off in the end

Makes you wonder about the 5 year rule you keep hearing about! Even the service company I use says 7 years. (tyre age)

As it’s not law I think its down to the individual if they are 5 to 6 years personal I will be getting them changed, I couldn’t believe the tyres that came off my caravan was from 2004! lol
