Fitting of navara D40 tailgate strut 

Thanks so much! Got a kit from eBay with no instructions. Was able to do the install on my D40 after watching this. Appreciate it! :)

I got 1 from ebay no instructions, so I got another one from ebay no instructions again so I worked out I did not misplace anything. Mate from Queensland Australia I thank you so much.. Now I will fit them in the morning once again thanks so much mate.....

Thanks for making the video, I got the same strut with no instructions. I would never have worked out the tag strip to bend. Simple when you know how. Cheers mate.

Hi there. Unfortunately, the sound on my computer doesn't pick up your instructions. I got a strut from Predator 4x4 and they said that no drilling is required. Is that correct? Also, mine says it fits on left-hand side of the tailgate, whereas you fitted it on right-hand side. Finally, does it make it easier to lift the tailgate. I can see how it softens the tailgate opening but not the closing.

how did you work out where the strut end would go on the tailgate, i bought a kit but has no instructions.

Whats the newtton on that strut?

Remove the tail gate cover on the back and you can access the inside of the tail gate so you are able to hold the nut from the inside without drilling multiple holes and causing a huge mess like this.
