Hey Steve I feel for you with this van. My brother in law is a window cleaner. He bought a new Renault van and has one of those fancy expensive water machines in the back that converts tap water to 'angels tears' to keep the council happy! He really loves his van and is particular about it. He had a guy run into him and the van went into a bodyshop. When it was returned he had the same issue as you, the standard of work was not the same as a passenger vehicle. He rejected the repair. But it was clear that they felt it was acceptable because "it was only a van", and that when he did eventually get the insurance guy and the bodyshop to examine it, they both arrived together in the same car! They knew he was under pressure to have the van back on the road working and forced him to compromise on the quality! I think most body shops rub their hands together when they see a van come in for repair, as they can just do a 'lash up job and nobody will complain!
Nice I have a 2018 vivaro, again keeping the back and white theme. I went for 18 inch wolf race assassins, black with polished edges. Chrome 60 ml sport line sidebars. Tyres 255s. Gives a great stance without being lowered. Done the rear spoilers too (painted white) Makes a difference. Will definitely do the splitter and have a bonnet deflector ready to fit. (Vanstyle ABS) Roof bars will be black but the only chrome is the sidebars and it suits the wheels perfect as blends with the polished edges.
Looks nice and low profiled. Can you still get into car parks with low height entrances? I really want to fit these onto my Vivaro but would be frustrated if it ends up too tall for multi-storey car parks.
I had to edit the bracket that wasn't so nice, the instructions are partially wrong. But thanks for the video that made my assembly faster. Thank you! greetings from Germany
got there in the end Steve nice one , have you thought about fitting a sunroof would get rid of those filled holes where the.roof light was.. atb Steve
It is yes and it's already fitted out. I didn't film it as I was rushed but should have. Welded up my own cage for a 500 litre tank. Pics on Instagram.
@@Sparkplugsteve I have nearly finished fitting mine out just waiting to get the frame bolted down and set up the softwash system and it's good to go, what's your insta name mate
I dont use triple sets enough to carry all the time but my Custom lwb can fit 3M lengths of tube and my ladders with no crew cab mind. Also tomato sauce cracked me up.
Hoping you earn more than a tenner from youtube on this one :) The best roof rail vid on you tube for sure.... :) unless girls in bikinis doin it :) N x
Hiya buddy I can see where the holes were where the roof lights were are going like a rust colour you will need to sort it out sooner than later mate before the rust spreads any further you need to fill them and spray paint them soon buddy cos you could muck up the entire roof otherwise if not done I'd do it for free for ya but you live so far away bro
It's not rust. It's a yellow stain that's formed around where the old rubber feet were. I tried polishing it out but was very stubborn. The bungs are tiger sealed in and the metal is clean and rust free. Thanks for offer though.
Where did the phrase fits like a glove come from? This idiom is based on the literal need for a glove to fit the hand perfectly. It has been used in English since at least the mid to late-1700's ----- NOT Jim Carrey
