the extra cables are heated seat cables the yellow connector does not throw up error code it also disconnects seatbelt safety feature. hope this helps

Cheer, thats reassuring, little concerned to see loose cable but I will tie them up and tuck them away in that case.

Perhaps those unused connectors under the seat are for an optional up-spec seat with power adjustments. Fiat must just use the same wiring harness for all the vans, whether they have the fancier seats or not.

You need Torx Impact bits, so much quick with the impact driver and nice and tight.

A lot of manufacturers use the same wiring looms in every van they build ,then just connect up what's needed when it comes to the spec,what ever the van does not have they just leave disconnected, so I guess you may be able to get a spec which has possibly seat airbags,heated or electrically adjustable seats.

Yellow connectors won’t throw up a code if the vehicle is not started, but would clear itself if you reconnect and restated the engine anyway. The other wires are for seat options. Most manufacturers fit all optional wires even if the option is not fitted.

We had loose connections like that and realised they were for a spinning amber work light on the roof.. we’ve decided to add a switch so we can still use it!

After following this great series I opted to install two Sportscraft offset swivels (the one you used on the passenger side). I was surprised to find the driver side doesn't swivel unless the handbrake is OFF. The seller says this is always the case but in this vid it looks like you can turn the CTA swivel even with the handbrake ON, perhaps because the pivot point is further back on the base. Is that right?

No particular reason, just simple functionality and good value. The passenger side was fitted today and seems better design, so you will see the differences in next video. :-)

No, fortunately the handbrake is on the door side of teh seat in these vans and mounted to the floor.

I'm planning a Relay/Boxer/Ducato camper conversion and it looks like single passenger seats are going for about £500 on ebay. Do you think it's possible for the driver's seat to turn on a swivel plate without replacing the double passenger seats?

I couldn't say I am afraid. Possibly, or you could always look at teh swivel plates for the double. Equally you may want to look at converting a drivers seat as they are pretty much the same and more likely to be cheaper.

Yes you can. They don’t swivel as easily as a single but do work well. They use a swivel plate on the floor and you loosen a few knobs and rotate the seat I think. Any more kids and we might need one!! 🙄

Not sure i'd like a battery inside, specially under the seat, wet batteries need venting as they produce gas when charging.

The batteries we are using are sealed but others can be vented through floor. The cab seats tends to be where most commercial motor homes have them. The vehicle battery is also in the cab in this model already. 👍
