Nicely done, only tricky bit for me was getting the left hand grip off - I found GT85 and the fine straw helped. Definitely more comfortable with the higher bar, especially if you have the touring seat. I swapped my cam shaft for the Hagon shocks with damping adjustment - it's now supremely comfortable and the last mod I'll be doing except maybe a memory foam seat insert at a later date.
Hi Sid, my Go Pro overheated and i lost 20mins footage which included using a star screwdriver and WD40 with straw same as you say you did, i then sprayed it inside with brake cleaner to de grease it, then used brake cleaner to slip in back onto the new bars 😁👍
Morning Bruce, again the beauty of these bikes is that you can get to everything, they're so easy to work on , and there's enough excess length in the handlebar switch wiring to allow for different bars 👍 I changed the bars on my SV650 and the wiring and brake hose and cables was a bit of a stretch ,but just about do able without having to replace everything, Cheers Mel
Great, now another thing I want to buy! Sounds like great value though. I didn't know the Bullet was higher as standard but I guess it makes sense with the seat being a little further back, I'll have to think about that 🤫
Thank you Bruce! Congratulations for the superb carpet for the JEEP and the perfect order of the garage👍🏼👏🏼 Handlebar height has to match the bike and seat heights . I have risers on my Himalayan because the suspensions are 20mm higher then stock (Ölins springs and tops for the fork and YSS + short link kit from Hitchcocks rear) and the seat too. This solves the side stand problem too because the bike is more inclined. And I think you are right to keep the 15 teeth so you can use the more "peps" from the engine improvements! Finally, even in Scotland, you have to buy tropicalised cameras 🤣😂 I laugh, but here in Switzerland it will be 35°C for the next 3 days 🥵🥵🥵 We will have to climb over 6000 ft with the Jeep, the best for the wind , don't you think so ?😃
Hi Bruce funny video, but got the message over and the bars look good. I also returned to standard gearing as I found it better for long hills. BUT was contemplating fitting the extra tooth sprocket as i am doing longer runs at 60mph. I wish the fuel gauge was a little more accurate and reliable, I seem to fly through fuel. Unless the fuelX lite is making it use more. Or even the D&A air filter?
Hi David, someone on my films mentioned the Fuel X lite and asked if i would consider disconnecting it and post my findings? So maybe i should and see? 🧐😁👍👍
@Coastriderscotland yeah I think I may disconnect mine and see but would be amazing to see your results. I haven't actually done any real world mpg checks tbh. I just thought the gauge readings move very quickly.
All these mods better to have a go as not at all....some work some don't simple as that ...ps I've sent this vid to my mate who bought my 350....😈he'll probs want bars as hez got all sorts of mods on it watching you😂 loves the bike ....I'm still happy with my 2nd himalayan..👌.atb .....
Taller handlebars and seat ? Aye, auld age doesnae come itsel'.... Why yes, I do have bar risers and softer "touring" seat on my NC750X however did you guess ? (If someone would hurry up and design a bifocal instrument panel I would be very grateful.)
