Coming from a Evo/DSM background… I’ve never liked Hondas…. Never lol But having owned a 2010 Honda Accord LX…. This baby has 191000 miles on the clock and she keeps on going! Did the engine timing chain/ oil pump/ chain etc and these things are so easy to work on ❤❤❤❤ Anyway… I always find myself watching and enjoying all your videos. Keep up the awesome work!
I bought years ago a full front wide kit for my eg6 from NBC racing, a french company, 50mm wider each side plus a front bumper "OEM" style, it fit really well with pre-made holes and kevlar reinforcement for brackets, tabs and every hole. It wasn't cheap but worked perfect. Now when looking for parts for my other cars there are too many companies selling stuff that I don't have any experience or even heard before if they are worth giving a shot, and the good products have their prices through the roof.
@@VTECAcademy if you need pics or more info, just ask for it, i have a spare kit new in box that wasn't used yet if you need measurements for the fenders or bumper. Keep the good work!
@@Lastsight100 I bought'em years ago, and have one full kit for EG brand new in the original package xD I will probably sell it because I don't think I'm gonna use it.
They need to toss their molds in the trash and remake them. I worked at a place making carbon fiber parts and it’s not that hard to make a good mold that produces parts too almost factory fitment. It’s like they literally didn’t even test fit any of their own products.
I saw that Spoon made fender flares and front bumper for the e.g. definitely not on the inexpensive side. It probably cost more than what you paid for your whole car.😂 great video! Thank you for sharing that with us😎🤙🏽🙏🏽
Thanks for sharing your experience. How do these companies survive putting out such terrible product??? I have some downforce front wide fenders I'm on the fence about. Even with great fitment, they aren't as robust as OEM metal ones.
I spaced out the fenders on my 94 civic. I added 1" spacers to the fender bracket and pulled the corner lights with the fender so you couldn't tell. Then I redrilled the holes by the door to be able to pull the fenders and keep them pulled while not being able to see the mods. Idk how much space I gained, but it did stop some rubbing
They probably use polester resin which shrink and warp easier than vinylester and during shipping or storage with temp changes, also wrapping it up tight and getting tossed into a hot truck will warp em.
Side note. I need a live event. My CRX throws a p1259 and stays in limp mode (4k rpm max). But I just removed the head to replace valve guides, install Type S oil pump, and 45 deg. vtc. I never had the oil switch installed cause Rywire had it wired from an old single wire plug. I installed an oil pressure sensor now. Maybe that code will go away now?
@@VTECAcademy Awesome! So I finally took it out of the garage after a lot of work. That P1259 code is gone. I'm sure it needed the oil pressure switch. I still have no speedometer reading. I used Rywire with the CRX conversion harness.
Hello Brian, Have you made any progress on your CRZ? Ive been talking with Fong @ Redline in TX.. we are going to do a K20/24 is awd possible? what do you think? Im In PHX id love to see your CRZ project. Thank you Brian for all the great videos and knowledge you share. -Luke
The CR-Z is on the back burner at the moment. If you go back to when we did the K24 swap for Eibach when they brought it to SEMA, you can see that AWD is definitely possible.
I dont know which side the intake is on honda engines but an intake sidemarker type deal wouldve been cool :( still sucks that they dont test fit these things looks sick though :(
There are some very reasonably priced 200 tread ware tires on the market. Not very long lasting but great for track day use. 225/45 15 with stock fenders. 245 with some creative clearance.
Hey this is a tangent but would it be relatively simple to swap a k20z3 into a 06 Acura csx manual transmission with k20z2. What would I need other than engine. The 06 si wiring harness and ecu?.. not a lot of info out there on this swap!
