I love how this is a "Thanks for 1K subscribers" but you're already halfway to 2K! :P I haven't seen most of these, but I can at least vouch for Made in Abyss. It is one of the best anime I've seen in recent years. The world building and mystery is phenomenal, and I think everyone should give it a shot. Baller video, Lady! And congrats on the growth of your channel!

Wow someone else who has actually heard of Moribito that's a pretty great pick not just for strong female lead but also the type of world building in the series as well. Impressed with the list.

Moribito have a nice soundtrack. I like that both English and Japanese Balsa sounds like a woman in her 30s and not a teenager. While I don't mind the drama over action narrative, I do kinda wish they kept the super natural stuff out because that's where I starting to lose interest.
The video is a little old , but I thank you for the Moribito recommendation, finish last night the anime and having a old protagonist feel very fresh than what we usually got. Even got around and finish reading the manga adaptation for the second book, which is just as good, not as epic but way more personal, sadly outside Japan, is the only books that we got, I think there 12 (2 being spin off)

Another series of acclaimed books worth mentioning is "Malazan Book of the Fallen". I haven't had the chance to check it out yet but it's in my backlog after the recommendation of another Trails fan. Just the first paragraph about it in Wikipedia makes it sound like it's doing exactly what Trails does with a grand cross-continental story of interwoven events and recurring characters.
@@Wazhai Ohhh nice! I've heard good things about this 'Malazan' book series, but only from the context of Asoiaf recommendations. It's great hearing it rec'd by fellow Trails fans, so my interest is definitely piqued haha. Thanks for this!
@@Wazhai Malazan has always reminded me of Trails due to its combination of a massive scope of worldbuilding and mystery with a plot driven by dozens of relatively minor characters. Probably my favourite series ever, though the first book can be tricky to get into with the sheer amount of stuff it throws at you straight away. Another excellent series is Robin Hobb's completed 16-book 'Realm of the Elderlings', which is more character-focused but manages to pull off building a world deep in mystery and politics. It also reminds me of Trails for its pacing within instalments - jumping from hours of "slice-of-life" to everything kicking off. Loved that feeling of being 5 books into it all and wondering how different arcs with different protagonists were going to eventually come together.
I liked the video, I recommend the anime Allison to Lillia, in my opinion, it reminds me a little of Falcom games but I don't know if it's legally available on sites
this is going to sound stupid but i got into trails/kiseki after being a long time lore delver of the nasuverse (ya know the interconnected lore that is all the works by type moon including the fate series) i got so deep into that by trying to piece toghether how that multiverse works and somhow stumbled upon trails which fit me like a glove in a simmilar way. interestingly the 4 series i can claim to be a deep diver in lore on are kyoukaisenjo no horizon (another commenter mentions this interestingly enough), the type moon works, trails, and of all things magical girl lyrical nanoha.....(dont ask i dont have an answer on how that one fits in with my other lore tastes it just does).
