I remember WANTING to like The Postman much more than I did. And I think I remember the oddball cameo you speak of. 😂 Okay, Priest is on the list! Also, I wanna go back and re-watch Night of the Comet now. 😊
I wish I disliked "The Postman" more lol. Priest is a total popcorn fest and worth a watch. I suggest checking out The Scream Factory Blu-ray of "Night of the Comet" it looks great.
Nice list!! I've never seen Mind warp or Neon City I'll have to check those out. Cherry 2000 almost made the list but I went with Comet instead. I have done a stand alone video on Cherry 2000 though.
I know, given my own channel's weird history with movies about monkeys, my favorite apocalypse movies are the original Planet of the Apes.... but I think Conquest of the Planet of the Apes and Battle for the Planet of the Apes are pretty good. The reboot series is good.... but I prefer the original for practical effects that still hold up. Oh, and Ellison was much like Alan Moore in that he HATED almost all adaptations of his work. Especially his Star Trek episode.
@@TheFilmGeek Why I love Planet of the Apes is while at first glance, the whole concept is absurd, unlike most apocalypse movies it uses the absurdity as a metaphor for talking about race, religious fanaticism, nuclear disarmament, and in the reboot series the ethics of genetic engineering.
