I’ve been curious about this one. Sounds like the concept was a lil more exciting than the film itself. I’ll likely still give it a watch, but it’s a bummer when a horror film that doesn’t deliver on the scares. Though I haven’t seen it, I think one thing they could’ve done was make the killer a person and show us what he does between kills since it’s his POV. Like maybe, after slaughtering a couple, he fishes a hotdog and a Coke from their cooler and sits down and eats it as though what he’s done is just another activity, true psychopathic stuff. Having a meal next to the corpses he just created, maybe even set his bloody weapon on the table and lift his mask. A silent scene with just the nature sounds would make it creepily mundane.
