Thank you for all the great advice. They are super helpful to me as I just started my first postdoc in a very different topic from my PhD, and was dealing with similar issues.
When is it too late too break the shell? I am 1 month in my new postdoc and had all the experiences you mentioned. I did feel that I haven’t been asking enough questions. Thank you for the video, it is so helpful!
Thanks very much for your great videos! I got my first postdoc job a few days ago by following your suggestions of writing CV and interviews. Your videos and experiences are soooo helpful to me !! Also, it would be great if you could share some experiences about how to deal with impostor syndrome, especially when joining a new team. I start to feel anxious and afraid of doing anything wrong ever since I received the postdoc offer. (TvT) Thank you very much for sharing all these with us!
Thanks for this great video! I was wondering if a new postdoc is expected to have read the relevant scientific literature before joining the lab or is it something that can be done once they are part of the new lab.
You want to have read at least the big papers from the lab (or recent ones) to show you understand the work of the lab and are interested in it. The rest can be done when you join the lab.
