Cathair 929 This was track 12 on the Avengers Assemble album, which has music from and inspired by the first Avengers film.

Cathair 929 it was originally supposed to be in the film. The whole album was supposed to have slight “cameo” pop ups in the movie, but contracting issues with Disney and Paramount caused them to take the cheap route in the actual movie and just reuse songs they already had for the time. That’s how shoot to thrill ended up in the movie since it had previously been used in Iron Man 2 just a couple years prior. My old art and music tech buddy Sam works in the sound editing department at Marvel and they apparently cut a lot of songs from the movies. Every movie has had a Guardians level soundtrack but they cut each one down 2/3 to avoid having too much music in each film. Gunn didn’t want to in his films though. He was apparently persistent. Avengers did have a damn good soundtrack though. I think this song was in the background of the deleted scene where Tony was preparing the Mark 7 earlier in the film I rarely get to share that information so I’m glad you asked!

That’s what I really like about it though, them having their own take on it gives me a reason to listen to it instead of just listening to the original. I don’t see a point in listening to a cover that is a perfect 1:1 recreation of the original, I love when artists try to put their own spin on it. I’m not even a big ffdp fan but I can really dig this one. The double bass adds so much

I like the guitar over piano, but I dunno. FNM just never really hit the spot for me. in all honesty? The instrumental doesn’t work with the lyrics to me. It feels like it’s more Kung fu badass than seeing a beautiful woman, you know?
