I can't stop watching your videos, I want to visit Greenland so badly. It took me about 3 years of "secret study" to get fluent in Japanese, because I want to surprise my wife with it next time we are in Japan. I was kinda proud, thinking I've "mastered" speaking one of the most difficult languages in the world. I also speak Finnish, German and French, all fluently. But I have the feeling I would not be able to speak Greenlandic after 10 years of practice. The pronunciation and apparent agglutinative nature of it already seem like a linguistic Mt. Everest.
Q, My favourite word is Takuss. I day it in my mind when I say thank you. Haha. I also use it to say bye-bye. I love your informative videos about your beautiful country. Thank you and love from Australia 🇦🇺 ❤️.
Iol...I enjoyed this. Short video, but fun and has a good vibe. I've always been curious about Greenland. I plan on looking into teaching, just to do something different. This video made me even more interested about the language and the people. Thank you :)
Why does it sound like Finnish 😯 And we also have the word 'tassa', it's written 'tässä' but pronounced the same. And it means the same thing!! Also, you guys look like Northern Finnish people. 😄 I guess we have some common ancestors.
All you need to do is to believe in yourself, try to take it step by step, and tell yourself that it’s *easy* and that you *will* speak it 💕 I know it sounds cliché but it’s the truth. It’s all about the passion and feeling you power towards a topic. When you feel like you just can’t do it, your brain shuts off the areas necessary for learning such a task. An overwhelmed and skeptic mind doesn’t allow a lot of information to sink in. Your second language will blossom and shine, just give it time, be patient and enjoy watering the flowers. I believe in your efforts, as it is indeed never too late to live for today and teach yourself something new. Awahē, kinanāskomitin ᐊᐘᐦᐁ ᑭᓇᓈᐢᑯᒥᑎᐣ ❤️
LMAO NO NO NO NO NO never -greenlandic dude edit: no but for real you cant become *fluent* but there might be some websites where you can learn some words, but thats it. The greenlandic language is one of the hardest to learn and hardest to master. Like have you ever tried pronouncing the greenlandic Q? its so weird i dont even think you can spell the way you say it in english.
Who can please translate this words for me . They are from Kalaallisutimi language. akimik piffissaq tamanna qinnuteqarninni manna tikillugu aningaasaliissutiginikuuat ilisivugut. +? immannguaq paasisimasanik Kalaallisutimillu oqalulluni piginnaasanit qaffasissutsinni tunisinnaavisigut?
the 4th word, “hello” is incorrect, the correct word for excuse me is “utoqqatsissutigaa” “hello” wouldnt make any sense, as e and o are only used before r, q, rn, and rr. if hello was the correct word it would be spelled hillu. could be a dialectal thing though.
