I love Five Guys but you're absolutely right they are terribly overpriced. The burgers are very juicy, and by the way, you can choose the amount of and what condiments to put on there. They hook you up bigtime on the fries. Wish they had something else besides ketchup, like honey mustard or whatever. Their Coke remix machine is the icing. But at the end of the day: did I really just spend over $20 on a meal like this? It's like they feel they need more money for the free peanuts they provide. Also, they give a lot of publicity to the potato farmers so I feel like that's where a lot of the money goes. Or their Sirius XM bill so they can keep blasting out their 80s on 8
Five Guys is the most overpriced and overhyped fast food restaurant. The fries are always soggy and the burger is sloppy and almost inedible. Schoops has the best burgers in the Midwest! Not even close! 😉 Five Guys is for weird-os. Lol
I ate at Popeyes for lunch. The manager seemed stressed out. I figured it was because you are no longer working there. Their profits must be down since you no longer take your dates there for that discount dinner.
If you like paying high fast food prices check out O.I.P Original Italian Pizza in Syracuse NewYork . pizza family deals includes sheet pizza 40 wings and soda (2liter) 40 dollars menu price.. final payout for pizza deal 65 dollars.. they charge for splitting wings/Sauce 2.50/3.00 topping and they charge for pizza box styrofoam wings containers aluminum foil for under pizza and separately for wax paper that goes in with wings.. owner says he's charged costumer for everything he has to use.. and 2 dollars for sauces .. food is good but costumer should not have to pay for containers.. that's up to the companies business planner to figure the price platform out ... I have never been back to O.I.P when I did go back I was charged 29 dollars for 2 drinks, 2 Slices, And 10 wings.. completely felt I was ripped off ......
The thing about 5 guys is you don’t have to put all those condiments on there. It comes plain, but they have a list by the register that you pick out the condiments you want on your burger..
a 12 dollar cheeseburger is what i expect from a RESTUARANT that uses a type of cheese only pasteurized in the foothills of Bavaria, not a generic fast food joint LMAO
I make a good burger..but it's grilled outside and I don't wrap them in foil..A1 sauce mixed in the meat and I buy the good sesame buns.. don't want to pay out the tail for fake meat and nasty buns
I am an old man who has always loved a good burger. My wife makes a good burger, but there is one place about half an hour drive from us who makes the best burgers we have ever eaten. It a little Tastee Freeze that is in Dilwyn, Virginia. Before the covid bs, we used to go to yard sales and would always make it a point to go get some of those great burgers. They aren't real big but they are cheap enough you can buy several and the fries are good too. They are just the best ever and anyone who lives around there will say the same. The people who work their have been there for over forty years in some cases and boy do they know how to make a great burger! Good video!
it's not worth eating out or ordering in , i ordered a pizza from papa ginos a few days ago it cost me $32 and it looked more like a medium than a large . It's better to cook in your place or in your case microwave some hungry mans frozen dinners they're actually pretty good
Yes I agree very high priced. I tried 5 guys in Hayward California about 2 months ago and never again. Bacon cheese burger large fries and a large drink came to almost $26.00. The food was good just high priced. The fries were very good I saw them go through the slicer and into the fryer.
I will never go to Five Guys in my life ever again. I went there once and luckily someone else was paying so I could just be disappointed instead of furious. Wendy's is 10X better at half the price.
Wendy's is always very good. I've never had a bad burger there. I have it without the bun wrapped in lettuce & it's always delicious. Forget wahlburgers - I'm from Boston & went to try - awful burger, bun fell apart, french fries stoned cold. I think you pay for "the experience". Five guys was good but Wendy's is very good always at very much half the price. I have a friend who goes to five guys because he absolutely loves the peanuts which also happen to be free. He doesn't order a burger but he stands in line. I think he brings a bag and scoops out mounds of free peanuts then leaves!
@@Skate2EDM Take a bunch of ziplock bags with you! That's what my friend does. They are quite good peanuts. He'd asked the staff where they got them & no one really bothered to find out. So he feels quite justified.
While it is overly priced, That burger is tasty. I will not go back as Wendy's is across the street from it for me. You could've chosen your condiments on the burger. Also, the franchise isn't a bunch of clowns. They're overpriced.
My dad loves that place last couple of times I've eaten there the burgers weren't that great. When it first opened up in my area food was amazing ain't so much now.
Just stumbled upon your videos last night couldn’t help but keep watching. You got a great authentic personality and I wish you the best. Keep doing what your doing, you’re killing it.
If u ever come to Hawaii try TEDDY'S BIGGER BURGER! They run about $13 a burger and even more if u gat the specialties but oh my goodness they are delicious!
@@reneerollins4433 that's definitely a favorite here. If u ever come back try the Teddy's Bigger Burger. It's expensive but it's so good. Ans make sure u get fries and dip em in the Teddy's sauce!
if the burger cost more than the number of fingers on my one hand in dollars i ain't buying it. some of these joints better hope i don't one day lose a digit. 5 guys gets 0 guys out of 5 guys from me.
All these burger flippers are making $19-$20 per hour so now the price gets pushed onto customers. Even a quarter pounder at Mcdonalds is $7 bucks now. And tipping is meant for good service. Its not a customer obligation. No business should ever include a tip in the bill. I wont spend my money there.
Have you checked out subway prices lately. I spend $20 for a 12 inch with a drink and a small bag of chips. 20 bucks is a LOT!!! I don't tip fast food. Is it the norm now??
I worry about your cardiovascular health bro, don’t eat that stuff more than, say, once every two weeks. Big love from the UK, keep up the great work 🙏
I went to a Five Guys in Phoenix and the burger was undercooked. I asked for a refund and the manager said they don't give refunds and was very rude. They are soo overrated. In and Out burger is 10 times better in my opinion.
Yes, they are overpriced and tipping is out of control. My daughter works as a waitress and makes $200 a day in tips, with no experience. You got a new subscriber!
The five guys here in Tucson Arizona is a clean establishment with friendly staff. Their food is so good! The double cheeseburger that you have right there is about $9. You can build your burger any way You want it. They have a great list of toppings which are included in the price of the burger.: Ketchup mustard mayonnaise pickles onions lettuce tomato jalapeno avocado and sauteed mushrooms. Forgive me if I left one out. The $5 🍟. are really good they're cut fresh everyday with the skins they're very generous with the portions. They fill a large soda cup up with french fries that are seasoned and salted they throw them in the bottom of your bag and then they take that same cup fill it again with the french fries and they put it in the bag with the loose french 🍟. I'm sorry you had such a negative experience at that particular store. I hope when you come through your .
😂😂😂😂😂😂 there's a 5 guys burger right down the street and there's absolutely NO ONE IN THERE!! ITS OVER PRICED AND THE BURGERS ARE TRASH! SHAQ...DO BETTER!! Oh... Hey from Vista CA lol
They have some good burgers but they are well overpriced. If we had Whataburgers in this part of the US I’d would rather go there just for the price difference alone.
If you ever in the Houston Texas area go to Humble Texas that's adjacent to Houston and stop by (Hippo Burger), they are to die for their meat is Black Angus and that tastes totally different than some cheap meat on a hamburger at your other burger joints. I always purchase the avocado Burger and their burgers are awesome. That was a time I was having intestinal issues very few things I can eat and I gave that burger a try and it stayed on my stomach and I've been eating them for over 10 years now. Sometime they run a special for $10 where you get the burger fries and a drink a large drink and you can tell they cut the fries themselves it's truly worth it.
love our five guys burgers here in Tennessee minus the mushrooms! Delicious! But due to the price, I might have 1 once in a blue moon! You know though, back in my childhood days, there was this little building I mean little small deli, they had the best burgers in town! The name was Nixon's deli. They would saute the onions and melted cheese sauce, mustard pickle only ( not like the small krystals) they we're fresh meat on a big bun! Yummy. Wish they still had the Deli here
Lamont, Ik you said you didn't like it wrapped in foil, I do. Keeps it warm til you get home. Otherwise, you have to nuke it b4 eating. I don't like to do that if I don't have too. Yes, I too think it's expensive but, if the burger is good then I don't mind.
12 Bucks For Just The Burger???!!!!…The Burger Alone Should Be At Least 7 or 8 Bucks…A Combo Meal Should Be 12 Bucks With Fries And A Drink Included…That’s Exactly Why I Don’t Eat There Anymore…Way Too Expensive
Totally agree. Five Guys was only a one time deal for me. Quality vs price was not there for me. And I thought about In-N-Out before you even mentioned it. I don't like In-N-Out fries when they are cooked regular... But, when I order them "Well, Well, Well done", (three Wells) they come out very crispy, like potato chips. Try it sometime. They are actually great that way. Anyway BB, since you used to be a Las Vegas resident, (I am too) remember Flakey Jakes that used to be in the Gold Coast Casino? That was my favorite until it went away.
@@sativarosegold3604 Ooops! I screwed up... The place at Gold Coast was Terrible Mike's. Don't know if that had anything to do with Terrible Herbst or not. I have lived here since 1990 though, and I don't remember when we went to Gold Coast and Terrible Mike's was no longer there. It's been a while though. Flakey Jakes was a place off of either Tropicana or Flamingo not far from UNLV that was another awesome place. They would slice a bit of beef off a slab, grind it up, make a patty and cook it, then you add whatever else you wanted on it yourself. One day, maybe early 2000's, we went there and they did not exist anymore. sad. As far as current day, Heart Attack Grill is good but you can spend some bucks there, but I much prefer it over 5 Guys if we are in the mood to spend. But In-N-Out is still where we go most. I was born and grew up in So Cal, So In-N-Out has been a constant since I was a teenager. Is there somewhere you know of that we should try?
Go to the hamburger wagon in miamisburg bro if you coming through the Cincinnati to Dayton area ,get a bag of burgers for that price and they are local area legends
LOL@ toothpaste and mayonaise" hahahaha Luv ya Lamont!!! Funny thing, I used to go to Burger king and then flip around the corner and get my fries at MacDonalds.
Honestly don't remember if I've eaten there but seem to recall ridiculous prices years ago. Wendy's is my fav otherwise the bar near me has a huge delicious hangover burger with egg and avocado for $11
I think u should try burger street it's in Arlington Texas off i20 and Cooper exit.they got awesome curly fries and frozen lemonade that's off the chain on a hot day.
Yes..i heard they were high but the food is good..but i never ate there..lol..i just wanted to know what type of music you listen to? love your videos❤!
The prices at my local Five Guys (L.A. suburb) have DOUBLED in the last couple of years. $18.25 for a “little” cheeseburger, “little” fry, and a drink is obscene. The Habit’s Portobello Charburger is a SOLID alternative at literally half the price of a Five Guys burger.
I like the Habit burgers. They're pretty good. Expensive too, but usually worth it. I only go there about maybe twice a year.. My family and I also do what you said to do. Get your burger at In and Out first. Then go to McDonald's for fries. Also, if you're thirsty. Get one of their $1.00 drinks. Thank Lamont for the review.. I know it's an older one. I'm trying to go back and watch all of them.😂😂❤
I only ate Five Guys once because of the price but I had to try it just once. It was very good taste but the damn thing was cold and of course way way overpriced.
I agree, it’s very overpriced. So aren’t the fries. We don’t ever go there after the first time and walking out still hungry. I could pay the same price at Chipotle and be full.m
Here in Texas, we don't have 5 guys.Your hamburger look good. The one were i get mine cost about $10,That includes seasoned tater tots.I think Ohio is probably one of the last places on my travel list.
Lol, it’s probably called a hospitality tax when you eat it there. Here they charge us hospitality tax even if it’s to go. In the grocery stores we don’t pay sales tax unless it’s a non-food item or a prepared food like something cooked from the deli department and then it’s called hospitality tax instead of sales tax. The non-food items are called sales tax. It’s a new way to add increases secretly. But you’re right five guys is ridiculous on their menu prices, the fries used to be a lot worse there was only one size that huge one that no one can eat for like five or six bucks I can’t remember?
Once I saw a guy in a white van pulling a trailer into a Carl's jr. Parking lot. Went into the restaurant because his van couldn't fit with the trailerin the drive thru. order a combo xl fries xl drink and paid with EBT.
