I wish he had mentioned if his wife financially contributed to the household or if she was a stay-at-home wife/homemaker? Or if that would make a difference in him helping her out around the home. I’d love to ask him and get his perspective on this topic.

What if my husband's love language is physical and I really struggle with that? We have been together 25 years and I haven't always been this way. He tried so hard for me for a very long time and he still does but i think he is getting tired of giving but getting no response. I really don't know how to change me.

You need to make Jesus your number one LOVE in your marriage. Otherwise, you make each other Gods or you feel that you are the God in the marriage, or you make the children your idols in the marriage. You generally want to please the one you Love the most..so if you love Jesus the most, not yourselves, and not each other but Jesus, then everything will fall in place.

I appreciate Focus on the Family, but as a man and husband I must admit it gets frustrating the amount of generalization that takes place concerning men. 2 separate times in this episode there was a disclaimer concerning what "typically" cause men to struggle. Usually it has to do with emotions/sensitivity of some sort. Can we slow down the perpetuating and normalizing of that narrative, and maybe explain it more. We men do process our feelings and emotions differently, and many time separately, that our female counter parts. I would love to see an interview where someone would somehow explain how we do this so that the knowledge of how we men operate can be better understood, and not just credited as a short coming that needs a disclaimer
