You’re supposed to hold the magnet bar above the nail, to bring them to the surface. The angle you held the magnet made the glitter sync into the polish and like u said is now hidden
I appreciate that you did not edit out the mistakes. We all can learn from them. I love the pinky finger gold v. You have lovely hands, like a model! I have been free hand painting on my French tips in various colours. I have to buy a stamper now! 👏🤎👋
I've been told to never use alcohol on your stamper, it will erode the surface and eventually destroy it. Instead, use a tacky surface to remove any polish that remains. Great video! 🥰
Lol sorry its my 3rd comment but for the side french you could always use your thin striping brush to make your line straight or pull off product, idk just a thought
I would like to buy a stamper for myself. This hack is very clever and useful however cleaning under your nail and around it can be annoying. What’s a good stamper off of amazon? I see so many bad reviews. I just want a good stamper! I see others who tried this technique on silicone sponge, and a balloon, plastic wrap on a makeup sponge.
Great tips, I just tried this method today for french nail using acrylic paint which i had seen on someone else’s video.. but 2 hrs later the tips started peeling off now I understood why… i was sticking the nail right in the middle of the paint.. thanks for clarifying that we need to start at the edge of where the color starts ❤
Love what u did here gurl!! P.s. use liquid latex if u don't have an allergy to latex or equivalent before these art methods to prevent getting polish on your skin. Just a tip lol great job!! 🤩🤩
The magnet might not be very strong, but you need to come at the nail from the top, very close to the nail, and then move the magnet to where you want the glitter to be. Hope this helps.
Yes, you have to put the magnet extremely close to the polish without touching it. Sally Hanson makes (or made) a line of magnetic polishes and the best thing about them is that they put a little notch in the magnet so that the magnet goes right over the nail and rests on your skin without touching your nail. It makes it much easier to use.
The amount of gel i’ve gotten on my hands in the past PHHEWWW Im due for this contact dermatitis y’all are so scared of. Ooooor everyone is now scared of this because of one outlier (re: the same reason everyone claims you need to bake your flour before using it all of a sudden)
You need a dark polish for cats eye to show up and I don't think you had a large enuf area to get the effect also try holding the magnet at a diagonal over the nail
That makes since, I used to see people add a black layer first but I was never sure exactly why. I’ve been told to hold it differently so that might be my issue! Thanks for commenting!
That repetitive music in the background is super annoying. Also, you're ending all your sentences like they're questions. Just talk normal. I don't know why some RU-vidrs do this, but it's hard to listen to. You seem sweet, and your demos were great otherwise!
I really appreciate your feedback! This was an older (ish) video. I have been recently trying to improve different things on my channel, maybe watch a more recent video and see what you think?
Is getting nail polish on your skin really a factor in being allergic to nail polish? This has happened to before? Cuz I get it on my skin alot and have for many years and never have had an allergy
I definitely recommend to do your own research (from credible sources). But Gel polish contains acrylate and methacrylate, which are known to cause allergic reactions, like rash (contact dermatitis) and also hives (urticaria). Repeated exposure overtime can cause your body to react badly even if you haven’t experienced it so far with exposure.
Well, I have only used 2 black gels in all of my videos.. It’s either black Addict from nail Addict LA Or the black gel art liner from double dip nails! If you want to go back and look, I do link everything i use in the description of my videos!
Definitely! This method works best for shorter nails rather than long ones! It is a bit tricky to avoid getting it on your skin, you can try painting the polish on the stamper in a U kind of shape, which should prevent a little bit from getting on your skin. You can also use a latex barrier for easy removal. And of course a small brush & acetone/remover to clean up any mistakes!
Most people that have tested this method DO NOT recommend using regular polish, it doesn't really turn out, the polish dries too quickly, and doesn't stick to your nail well. But acrylic paint turned out to work the best. Maybe I will have to try this trick when I finally get gels.
HI ! I'm gonna try this! This is my first time and will be using nail polish. I have a question I'm thinking about getting nail glue gel with press on nails and wondering how to remove it ? I have been using nailbond nail glue for 3 years and love it. It's lasts a week. That's enough for me. Thanks
Hi, it's the first video I watched and I want to learn about nails polish. Do I need a UV light with these nails polish? Excuse my ignorance, thank you! Btw, beautiful work! :)😀
It’s perfectly fine to ask these sorts of questions! I’m here to give as much info as I can to help beginners do their own nails! I only work with gel polish (I’m too impatient for regular nail polish to dry lol) and with gels you do need a UV/LED lamp to cure! Pay attention to the directions of the gel you have/purchase. Some gels only cure in certain lamps. I don’t use a UV lamp (with the exception of my older lamp or flashlight lamp, which I don’t use my old one anymore). The lamp I use now is Kiara Sky’s LED lamp! I personally believe it’s a tiny bit better for my skin than using a UV lamp.
Girl! my cat eye polish does the same thing!! I even bought the same one from another video I watched and tried to do the same thing she did and it was like all the glitters disappeared! Super annoying!!
Usually with short nails you can get away with pushing it into the stamper, but with longer nails you do need to slide the nail across the stamper to get the smile line in the correct place. Thanks so much for commenting! 💕
I think its an overreaction that people told you to not let it touch your skin, for some people yes its bad if they have an allergy but for most it will be fine. Love this
This magnet does seem really strong! I’ll definitely try a less powerful one. Thanks so much for the tip! Hopefully with all the advice I’m able to make magnet gel work for me!
I figured out when you marble with the jelly stamper, you have to dip your finger in each different color in one at a time to get the marble effect, thin coats
Girl I have the same issue with cateye polishes 🤷🏻♀️ I see you using those liners again!! If that's not a recommendation I don't know what is 😉 This was very informative! Beautiful nails and Great tutorial as always💖
I had a comment saying to hold the magnet over the top of the nail instead of the side. Maybe that was my issue.. girl I love these gel liners! I’ll be using them in quite a few upcoming videos 😉😂 Thank you so much! 💕
Thank you! It’s actually a mix of 3 different nude gel polishes from MelodySusies nude Revolution gel kit! I’m currently searching for the perfect nude gel polish
Whichever you prefer! If you use regular polish (or even acrylic paint) you’ll need to do it rather quickly to avoid it drying on the stamper. It’s not great to get gel on your skin but gel does self level so it’ll give a “cleaner” look to your nail. And you have as long as you need to get it perfect.
I really can't pick my favorite. I like them all. If I had to choose, I guess the gold one and the rainbow, but like I said I like them all. Looks easy but for this old Shakey hand woman, believe it would be hard at first for me. But practice makes perfect! Great job!
