don't get pressured into buying the shiniest new toy. I'm an electrician and yes all my tools are Milwaukee but the basic brushless impact with a 2.0 battery is more than enough to drive little screws all day. I work circles around the guys that brag about their newest fuel with a 5.0 battery.
You might consider the compact 3.0 high output batteries. They're small, light, and alot of ZING to them. That high output architecture is real. I have an m12 5.0 high output and i tried it in my m12 compact driver drill.....WOW what a difference. I was laughing hysterically afterwards. Like an angry chihuahua that's brave enough to pizz on a big dogs leg.😁
I work as an hvac installer and use a m18 with 3.0 that runs all day. Really depends on what you do and from what i see electricians work really only calls for a smaller impact
As someone who uses the rotary hammers on concrete on the regular, I highly recommend any M18 battery that says "High Output" on them. They enable your tool to work at full potential, its no lie. I use non-HO batteries trying to punch through the wall, and the tool falters and stops 10 seconds in. When I slap even the smaller high output battery on (3.0AH), it powers through like a champ.
@@theshore2667 I can see a use case where you're in the middle of nowhere with a smaller leak and you need to top off the air until you reach a service point
I think it all depends on your application. I'm in the automotive field and use the m18 brushless and my dad uses the m12. I don't like changing the battery all the time and that's why I use the 18. My dad likes how light the 12 is with the 2.0s, as far as power they feel about the same to me.
Same! They deliver an amazing amount of power. I have an older impact m12 and hell, it’ll drive lags all day if you need it to. And the circular saw, I expected a lot less from it and oh boy, does it chew through 2x4’s like a beaver lol.
I’ve had a lot of issues with that super sawzall’s oscillating/reciprocating movement. I mostly use it to cut cast iron and other hard metals and the chuck gets obliterated. Every time I switch blades it’s a struggle. The Vick release system on the standard sawzall is way better.
I started buying milwaukee tools after i found their big impact wrench on the road So far the best tool for me is their m12 drill with sleek 2A battery It fits nicely into tool bag pouch
My M12 fuel gen 3 drill and impact driver may need its M18 companion. I’ll get the Gen 4 M18 fuel combo kit whenever they have a good loss leader for one at HD.
I recommend getting the Regular Brushless M18, I just picked up the 2 pack drill and impact driver today for 189$ at HD, yeah it’s not a fuel but the price difference is huge and well worth it in my opinion. You can always upgrade later
I have a Milwaukee super sawzall from the mid-90s that is an absolute beast I don't believe they've made anything bigger or powerful than this one yet. It has 3,200 strokes per minute and 1 1/4 inch stroke. With adjustable orbital action. Comes with those plug-in chords unfortunately I have an older one that has a three chord 50 ft long cord which is incredible to have but the new ones don't come with a grounding peg so they can't use that on this particular saw because it only has 2 prongs. One of these days I'll probably pick up a 50 ft 2 prong cord but they're not exactly cheap.
@@georged1085 the 2 and 3 prong cords are not compatible with each other. You can only use 2 prong cord in a grounded sawzall and the three prong cord has a ground in it. Physically impossible to cut the third prong off and stick it in a Two prong cord if I'm understanding you right..
I’m a Milwaukee guy and I have a dewalt impact wrench and it’s way better than Milwaukee equivalent. Milwaukee is definitely better tools for most part but having everything Milwaukee I don’t see beneficial give yourself options.
It's too expensive to have 2 full battery brands, just buy into the one with more of the best tools you need and deal with the others. The power difference is usually pretty minor
@andymason2068 OH I see, a pickle puffing, pillow biter like you needs a resume because the only part of you that's ever been a man is the part another man put in you. Well, Honey, I used to build megawatt projects for the US military. So, not only do I know more than you, have done more than you, own way more than you, I am also better than you.
@DanielMThomas I don't let these guys get away with things because it's pretty clearly the only job they are familiar with is the kind where they relax their throat and make eye contact. Lol
Never thought I would need a high torque impact as I have the mid torque...... then I got a boat...... had to grab the breaker bar and a pipe because the mid torque just couldn't do it.....
For anyone out there who’s worried about the price tag. Buy a cheaper set that works and will get most of your work done and over time build into a better set. (I’ve used my Ryobi ONE HP+ set for going on 2 years and only had an issue with 2 batteries and now I’m working on my Milwaukee set finally)
Yeah...worm gear style rear handle. I have one. It weighs a ton and its supposed to have 12ah batteries to reach its potential. Good luck keeping a 12ah m18 battery functional for very long.
My next tool purchase will be Milwaukee, I have avoided buying due to price, but after watching your videos I believe it will be worth paying a little more for quality design & power.
@@ToolswithSoAlz No I’m retired, but stay busy using my various tools. I do upgrade stuff in general, carpentry automotive electrical plumbing for my family, kids, mother. Not professionally, but I believe I could if I needed the money, (not that I don’t)😅
It's so sad how they lock them up to the point you can't even hold them... like they're displayed in a way you should, but because people are the way they are, they're better of showing pictures when you can't even move the product because it's chained up so bad....
Whats the difference between the regular sawsall and the super sawsall? Is it a orbital cut feature? Im on the dewalt platform primarily but recently got a couple milwaukee m12 tools and am curious
Personally not a big fan of the hammer drill/driver. As it drill its awesome, but the hammer mode sucks. Better off picking up the m12 rotary hammer if your gonna be drilling concrete more then once a month 😂
Bosch GET 75-150 (75-6n in US) is the best orbital sander that’s for sure. The Bosch expert stuff is best in class too I just need them to make impact driver bits
Have you seen the new 72 volt stuff? That’s what I want. The tamper, buster, self deploying rocket light, sewer camera. Ahhhh maybe if I win the lottery.
@@unclefester4626 I forgot the exact name of the video, but the channel is called “torque test channel” the creator tested the 1/2in Milwaukee cordless impact wrench and then released a follow on video talking about the disastrous recall Milwaukee had on the late 2022 model
@@RonBurgandy oh....delightfull. thanks. I am subbed to that channel. Ill go look it up. Another 3 1/2 months to get another tool fixed. Dee Freaking Lightfull... Thanks for the info!
I can see that. Nothing has ever made me want to trade in a good Ridgid set though. Flex came the closest but is too heavy for regular use on the jobsite.
I have the gen4 m18 impacter. Its been good so far and is stupidly overpowered. One of the few milwaukee tools i don't regret buying. The m18 framing nailer is one i absolutly do not regret one bit. God...its nice not dragging around air hoses and the fallout moisture compressors have.
They need to stop calling those “hammer drills”. They are a joke trying to drill concrete. If you want to drill concrete get a real SDS hammer drill. The Milwaukee 12V is the Beez Kneez.
They literally don’t orbit though. I’ll make a vid tomorrow at work of me holding the trigger and turning the dial. No change at all. It’s a great sawzal don’t get me wrong. But its bs
@@ToolswithSoAlz Okay, let's pretend your advice is sound and I'm whatever you think a Karen is. Please explain why an impact wrench is a must have for me, since that was omitted from your video and I'm just not smart enough to figure it out on my own. Edit: typo sorry!
So we go to home depot where they have the tools and you do not? FFS I have a whole line of ridgid tools and I am not going to switch to another brand as I still have 8 good working batteries.
@ToolswithSoAlz haha, fair enough. I started my own Milwaukee tool set but them ads come often from the other guys. They almost had me convinced, thanks
I’m a union apprentice carpenter and the rear handle saw is garbage, we have all Milwaukee tools at our training center, do not waste your money on that saw, none of the tables are square from the factory, the plastic they’re made with feels like a nerf gun and they have a speed sensor that turns the saw into a brick if the blade isn’t at max rpm when you sink it into wood TERRIBLE saw for a rough carpenter, if you want a good skill saw get the 36v makita or 60v dewalt
@@ToolswithSoAlz Is that really your line of reasoning? 😂 😂 😂 😂 Well, I tried, but I'm giving up. Another 'Do not recommend channel', along with the Chinese cheerleaders and cats. If you can't handle constructive feedback then your channel is of no use to me. Top of the day to you.
Ma'am the only tool you've ever used your brother was born with and it's your favorite flavor. He does say he enjoys your soft lips and deep throat the most
