Hold up... Tina - Allstars Vecepia- Marquesas Jenna- All stars Sandra- HvV, WaW Ambuh- All stars, WaW (probably the biggest female winner to Rob 😏) Danni- WaW Parv- HvV, WaW Natalie W- nil Sophie- WaW Kim- WaW DENISE!!- WaW Natalie A- WaW Michelle- WaW Sarah- WaW You're right there. Can thank winners at war for that record happening lol
Could have cut to another Australia contestant (also from Michigan...but not Keith...weird how many Michiganders were in that season) for even better effect.
I originally had him in the script for this very reason! If I do a part two to this video I'll definitely cover The Noble One and his nonexistent voting record
I think Sydney from season 41 has now done the same thing. If I’m remembering correctly, she was on the blue tribe which never went to tribal council, and then at the merge she opted to play her shot in the dark instead of casting a vote. She was ultimately to merge boot and never got another chance to cast a vote to eliminate. Edit: I can’t actually remember if her tribe went to tribal council, but if they did I think she may have lost her vote on shipwreck island prior to tribal council. I remember thinking right after she was voted out that she never cast any votes.
I gained 30 pounds over a year. I spent a few weeks in quarantine doing the “survivor diet” , which is just eating no more than 1,000 calories a day. I got back down to 133.
That’s what mr and my sister were saying. Like screw Nutrisystem, Noom, other weight loss programs I don’t know the name of, just hop on survivor and bam 30 pounds gone
That "Corn Mush" is called ugali and they 100% cooked it all wrong in Survivor Africa (they basically ate it raw). As a Kenyan, whoever who decided that the location would be Samburu definitely just wanted to see the "castaways" suffer 😂
@@amillionresets3263 Burton is first person to be voted out twice in one season, which didn't happen again until Redemption Island, Francesca's first appearance. She was voted out first in RI, returned in Caramoan (S26) and voted out first again, hence she is only player to be voted out first in two seasons and to have played the least number of days across multiple seasons. Other players to be voted out twice in one season: from Redemption Island, Matt and Andrea; BvW, Laura M and Tina; EoE, Rick Devens; and Tyson in WaW. Ozzy holds the record for most vote outs in one season, three times in South Pacific. Though the premerge vote out was his own gameplay strategy..🤔
@@Earlsweatpantch I remember reading it somewhere, I didn't come up with it myself. I was so surprised by it I had to recheck and sure enough, nobody improved on their previous best except Jerri. Another crazy one is that nobody's name on Vanuatu (at least, not the name they went by in game) was longer than 5 letters.
@@BrettMKW Another interesting fact: Vanuatu is season 9. Invert 9, and it's a 6 Amazon is season 6 Both Amazon and Vanuatu start with tribes divided by gender. In Amazon, the men had the majority at the merge, but the last woman ultimately won the last two immunity challenges and won the game. In Vanuatu, the women had the majority at the merge, but the last man ultimately won the last two immunity challenges and won the game. Seasons 6 and 9 are literal inversions of eachother.
Chris Noble is the only player to be voted out without casting a vote. Edit: he never cast a vote that season. The one time his tribe went to tribal, he got sent to Ghost Island. The next time he went to tribal was when he got voted out at the merge; he lost his vote, so he didn’t vote that tribal.
it's crazy how in survivor Africa the Gen X where the "no work ethic" "free spirited" kids who "didn't have to work hard" but then 30 seasons later the exact same narrative was used by THEM (gen x) onto the Millennials.
Cirie has never made a final and never been eliminated by a majority of votes. Unless you want to call the single vote at the end a majority since the other vote is implied.
Here's an interesting idea for a survivor record: Sandra is the only player to have played more than twice without casting her vote for the winner. WaW season allowed all people, even those who were voted out first, to vote for the winner, and Sandra quit, making her the only player to play 3 times and all 3 times she got to post-merge and never actually voted for another winner
Some records I've wondered about lately: Which player has played with the most Winners? (Obviously it will be a winner from Winners At War) Who are the Top 3 players in days played? Which player has been to the most locations? After typing all this I realized the answer to these are probably all Rob but oh well
tyson might’ve played against the most winners. if we aren’t counting people you were never on a tribe/merge with or edge of extinction, tyson played with jt in tocantins, tina and aras in BvW, rob, sandra, and parvati in HvV, and everyone who made the merge or were on dakal in WaW
Here's my crack at this: Rob Mariano has been on the same cast as Richard, Tina, Ethan, Vecepia, Jenna Morasca, Sandra, Ambuh, Tom, Danni, Yul, Parvati, JT, Sophie, Kim, Denise, Tyson, Tony, Natalie, Jeremy, Michele, Adam, Sarah, Ben, Wendell, Nick, and briefly met Tommy on Island of the Idols. So 25 (or 26 when counting Island of the Idols) out 38 winners, not counting himself. (Although if by "played" you mean been on the same tribe with, I don't know, sadly) Counting time spent on Edge of Extinction, the top 3 would be Rob Mariano (152 days), Parvati (149 days), and Ozzy (128 days). Rob Mariano has been to the most locations at 5: Marquesas, Panama, Samoa, Nicaragua & Fiji.
If we're talking who has played on the same tribe (excluding Edge): Rob has been with Vecepia, Amber, Sandra, Parvati, Tyson, Adam, Ben, Danni, Denise, Ethan, Jeremy, Michele, Natalie, Sophie, and Sarah. (15) Tyson has been with J.T., Sandra, Rob, Parvati, Tina, Aras, Amber, Kim, Nick, Sarah, Sophie, Tony, Wendell, Yul, Adam, Ben, Denise, Jeremy, and Michele. (19)
I haven't forgotten Carl's smirk when his torch got snuffed (laughs). He was the first and possibly only dentist to be on the show (not counting Jed a couple seasons later). Dude, I love your channel. Your appreciation of Survivor, whether it be the big or small things, to the most popular to very obscure players, is awesome. Keep on being Idoled Out!
Thats only 3 but if you are just counting times there was someone on the season named rob(b), then there would be 5 since Rob C also played on all-stars.
Always enjoy these lesser know little facts.. remember a post on r/survivor just the other day and was really surprised about Boo's winning streak; he is extremely overlooked for some reason.
@@user-ey6lq9qe3n for me, it's not so much I don't like Fiji but the cast wasn't one of my favourites so I tend to overlook it myself.. Earl was a great winner, and of course Yau, Boo, Dreamz and Rocky are memorable in their own ways, but overall I didn't like the have / have not twist from the jump and then the cast was all recruited except Papa Smurf; while some recruits are awesome characters and memorable, with Fiji they just didn't click for me. I do need to give it a rewatch, it's been years since I've watched it, along with SoPa because they're two seasons I've never really rewatched when I feel I might enjoy them a bit more now. There's definitely a bunch that enjoy it, and nothin' like aging to change your perspective on a season!
@@user-ey6lq9qe3n in the same vain as above, I liked it enough, and it was nice to see the first undisputed winner who swept the votes, but the concept of the tribe with everything vs nothing wasn’t very entertaining to me.
I'd better see Gary Hogeboom on this video. I will comment again once I am done. Edit: No Gary. But I'd like to explain why I thought he would be in this video. To me, Gary is probably top three when it comes to underrated players. He was a strong physical threat with a very strategic mind. The main reason why I thought Gary would be here is because he holds three great distinctions in Survivor history: first idol found, first successful idol play, and first idol found without a clue. That last one may be contentious, but here's why I think that counts: Gary did not have the clue. Judd had the clue. Judd lied about what the clue said, but Gary was the only one to notice that Judd was looking in the trees and not on the ground. So that gave Gary all the info he needed to find the idol without possessing the clue. This might be more of a "distinction" rather than a record, but I firmly believe that Gary is one of the most underrated Survivor players ever and deserves more love.
Love these videos! I look forward to the new one each week. Since it’s hard to say when Survivor can safely film again, your weekly upload is my new Survivor fix.
@Ashley Russ Same! I suggest checking out the channels Survivor Geek and Once upon An Island. The first has ton of content from previous seasons and the latter has been uploading a lot of deep dives on contestants.
3:29: Ehhh, I'd argue that's overblowing it a bit. Jeff says "This guy, Big Tom". So it's not like he's calling him just any other player, it's more of an introduction than anything.
@@adamsbriee6330 Yeah a lot of old school Survivor you could get away with a lot. Nowadays, you have to be very careful with your actions and how you talk
On Survivor: 65: Millennials vs. Gen Z, The Millennial tribe will be like: Ahhh, these clueless and lazy Gen-Z kids, they'll never last 39 days out here without their smartphones and without their Fortnite! Gen-Z be like: Oh My Gawd, Y'all are, like, so old AF. It's gonna be Lit AF when we beat y'all in the immunity challenges. We 'Bout to get turnt-up! We're calling you #TeamBasicGrandpa!
Damn ur right 🤯. Although I found a bunch of season that are one player away from joining Borneo: The Australian Outback - Skupin Pearl Islands - Osten Panama - Bruce Cook Islands - Becky China- Todd Tocantins - Joe Cagayan - Lindsey
Fun fact regarding the Baby Boomer vs. Gen-X conflict in Season 3: the youngest Baby Boomers (1964) when Africa aired (2001) were younger than the oldest millennials (1982) are now.
Tom sat out of a lot of challenges in Palau because he wanted to diminish his threat level. Also, he wanted his tribe to lose one immunity challenge so he could vote out Coby since he was Tom’s main rival on the tribe
i can think of eight players. Jackson from Survivor 42 is the only player to be medically disqualified. Terry is the only player to be evacuated for a family emergency. Wentworth and Jeremy both play idols, causing no votes to be cast that were not negated by idols. Cirie is idoled out due to all the rest of her tribemates playing idols and advantages. Dan in DvG and Janet in Island of the Idols are the only two players to have idols nullified. Karishma from IOTI has the record for the most votes cast against her in a single season, at 22 votes [edit: typo] [edit II: added three more players] [edit III: i don’t consider most of these obscure players; most of them are records that don’t deserve to be celebrated] [edit IV: another typo]
Since Big Tom is my favourite contestant and the reason I watch Survivor, I took offense at him being called "obscure". But hey, if it means he gets to be in a video like this, I'll let it slide. Also, doesn't Keith also hold the record of standing the longest on a log?
Damn I find it wild how Big Tom is considered obscure at this point, he was one of the most popular players in the earlier seasons. I do guess that old viewers would have aged out at this point tho
