Only on the condition that there's nothing relating to there being an advantage in the game which people learned to all just hoard their money waiting for.
Going back to the Cochran twist, am I the only one who wishes Sandra drew the buff to go to exile. So we could watch Cochran try to give her advise lol
@@charliesarver But Cochran was a complete outcast and joke when he played the first time, Sandra won her first time. The only time Cochran won was when he came into the game with his real life friends.
I could imagine her saying "Whatever Cochran, I'm just here for the food, and you don't eat nothing without permission cause you're just going back to the hotel afterwards! The fried chicken is all mine, the pizza, all mine, the beer, all mine. You can have the baked potatoes, I don't really like those, but I'm taking all the bacon bits!'
To add on, my absolute favorite immunity idol twist is having the idols hidden in the challenges so you have to grab them with everyone there. I hope that comes back!
I like the one world twist but I think the reason it didn't work out as well as it could in the one world season was due to the execution. I would love to see it done again but with the players not knowing who their tribe is. Let them live together, build camp, and strategize for the first 3 days and only split them up at the first immunity challenge. Maybe it will be a bit confusing in the beginning but overall I think it would make for better drama and better gameplay in the long run. Not to mention great TV.
Kevinn AGREED 100% ❤️❤️❤️ Cirie Fields is one of my all time favorite survivors, to have never won the game 😞 I think they just need to have another “America’s Tribal Council” like in season 8 All Stars, where America awarded a second million dollars to Rupert. My vote would a million times, go to Cirie 💗
Personally I would love to see OneWorld until the merge combined with Blood vs Water 3. I think that it would make it interesting because everyone AUTOMATICALLY is connected to someone on the other tribe.
blood vs. water is by FAR my favourite concept for the show. It added so much extra drama and every decision had more weight to it right from the very beginning
Been looking for a steady reliable Survivor commentary channel and I love this so MUCH. Some future video ideas could be Most Robbed Pre-Jurors A Dream Cast for Survivor All Stars 2 Players who played once who deserve to play again
My Picks Ken ( Gabon) Matty ( Gabon) Marty ( Nicaragua) Chase ( Nicaragua) Sash ( Nicaragua) Hayden ( Blood vs Water ) Reed ( San Quan Del Sur) Matt Elrod ( Redemption Island ) Brett ( Samoa) Greg Buis ( Borneo) Natalie Bolton ( Fan vs Fav) Crystal ( Gabon) Taj ( Tocatines) Erin ( Tocatines) R. C ( Philippines) Lisa ( Philippines) Baylor ( San Quan Del Sur) Jane ( Nicaragua) Ashley Underwood ( Redemption Island) Mamma C ( Worlds Apart) Taj has said she wouldn't play because she feels she would have a target on her back and wouldn't win. It's been brought time and she has to get out there again. She has potential be one of the greatest Strategic Players and could Rival Cirie or Parviti
Your research is flawless, I never thought of the stuff you came up with but it’s entertaining and I agree with all of it and I been watching reruns since 3 years
Another great video! Analysis and production are spot on, will be a loyal follower until every survivor fan knows this channel! Liking, sharing, and subscribing for life!
I would love to see your top 10/20 best moments in Survivor history.... could be a confessional, vote, challenge win, story, any little thing that has happened in Survivor that makes you so passionate about it!!
I have a twist idea, or rather more of a theme idea I guess lol how about a season of loved ones? I don't mean Blood Vs Water, I dislike that theme. I mean a season made up of former players loved ones who appeared on the show for the loved ones visit. We'd have a connection to the players, but it'd basically be like a brand new cast. You could have Malcolm's brother who I remember being a crazy cat, Cirie's son, such and such's wife etc etc. THEN when it comes to their loved ones visit, we get to see the former players appear so it would all be flipped. I mean everyone's going to enjoy that, right?
lol even the idol is starting to feel like a bit much since some players are just making survivor a scavenger hunt rather than a game of social politics
Just wanted to throw out a video idea - something like, 'the unluckiest tribes, premerge'.. then, 'the luckiest tribes' would be an obvious follow up type video. While I do really love the social aspect of the game, there's a LOT of players who had the potential but never got a chance because luck did not favour them in the beginning. Possibly something like, 'players who never had a chance'.. I think ya get what I'm suggesting here, hahha. Just found your channel today, love the effort put into your videos! I look forward to seeing what you put out in the future! 🌹🌹
Rose Ella-Grace Thank you Rose! Unluckiest tribes premerge... might wanna watch my upcoming video then. ;) I like these ideas and I’ll keep them in mind. I agree with you too, I think ‘luck’ is one of the core pillars of succeeding in the game, and is probably the most important, while also being the least measurable.
Peridiam oh, I definitely will; subbed yesterday! I was surprise you didn't have, at least, 15 or 20k.. and, ya know what they say, great minds think like. I guess this means we should go all the way now. 😏😏 It really does have bit of luck behind it, in my opinion, it always amuses me when I see people say any good player doesn't need luck. Like, Tyson with the rock draw.. kinda needed luck, and some balls, or the entire fucking Ulong tribe. I was happy to see Steph come back, cause she showed she is a good player but in Palau she never really had a shot. Especially early in the game, with tribe swaps and all, if it decides to go against you then it's pretty much out of your control. I've always said I'd love to see a season of all first vote offs; nobody knows their game, they can't all have been terrible.
I kinda want them to a season like this. Something in line with Second Chance, but players who didn't necessarily reach their full potential. Cause that description could be things like bad luck or bad gameplay. Swap victims, losing tribes, one-off twists (Michelle Yi, Neal Gottlieb), players who were betrayed by alliance (Kelly Goldsmith, Jim Rice, Erik Cardona), players who fell short (Cydney Gillon, Ian Rosenberger) and FvF players (Natalie Bolton, Michael Snow) because FvF is a lopsided format. They could call it something like Survivor: Proving Grounds, which granted, I would have called a stupid name 4 years ago, but now... doesn't seem too bad.
I like the idea of idol nullifier in this season, idols for too long of a time have been overused, overplayed, and overdrawn out (like my use of over instead of out)? Also what about the 'twist' of going to an actual NEW location, not the same island(s) in the South Pacific. I miss the early seasons of seeing new locations, each rich with their own history and culture as well as surviving.
I agree with you so hard on the easier to get to know the characters on a three tribe season. I'm rewatching Exile Island which started with 4 tribes, and I have to keep reminding myself it's not a tiny cast but a regular cast of 16. It's so much easier to take in 4 groups of 4 people than 2 groups of 8.
Fully agree with One World. SUCH a great twist, and it really made things interesting. What didn't work was that cast. If they get the right cast and use this twist again I think it could be a gamechanger
Love your content so far dude. I'm a foreign fan that only watch Survivor, so I'd love to see some videos on other programs to discover them and learn about their storylines and iconic contestants. Your video about BB was really great !
Great job! Your videos are amazing! I'd love to see a video on the top 10/5 worst/best tribes in survivor history! That would be an interesting list. Anyways, keep up the great work
first video of yours I've seen, but you brought up some really good points (especially the one world suggestion as i am a newer fan to the show and just watched that season recently so its fresh on my mind), and backed everything up with convincing evidence. subbed
Another great video. I think however that twists like the rock draw (apart from the Marquesas scenario), the double tribal council (apart from the game changers one) and obvioulsy exile island would have been worthy of a mention on it. The mutiny was also a good twist, even if not as good as the one you talked about.
Tribe swap and Hidden immunity idol. Absolutely the 2 most important twists. You forgot one though. Changing the final tribal from 2 to 3 people. It speeds up the arguably slow end part of the game and removes the immense power that came with winning the final immunity challenge. This was introduced in cook islands (season 13) and has been a staple ever since. Edit: subscribed
I have an idea: Let's say that a person gets voted out and goes on the jury. Then the twist is that the jury members gets to vote at the next tribal. This cycle goes on until the final three. That means that there will be 9 votes at final 8, 8 votes at final 7, and so on. One More Idea, what if they had a somewhat advantage where the person who finds or gets the advantage can leave a tribal before it Starts (they can choose when to use it), but they don't vote if they walk out. They would only be able to use it up to the final five because it's basically an idol but weaker because you don't get to vote. Another Idea, what if there was an advantage gained from winning a pre merge challenge that allowed you to take one member from the other tribe and bring them to your tribe. The members of the tribe who won the advantage get to choose who to bring, but if they don't decide unanimously then the other tribe draws rocks to see who switches to the other tribe.
I one hundred percent agree with the One World twist. That caused such a great dynamic through the first few episodes. I liked the finding an idol for the other tribe thing. It really caused people to have great social dynamics with everyone, not just their own tribe which at a tribe swap could make it interesting instead of which tribe has more numbers.
My favorite twist actually first occurred in the first season I watched. Heroes vs healers vs hustlers where they brought in the forced fire making challenge
Hi Peridiam! I really enjoy your videos! They are entertaining, well-edited and narrated! I would love to hear your thoughts on a top 10 Survivor winners! Thank you! Keep up the great work!
Best twists in no particular order: - the hidden immunity idol - the immunity idol nullifier - the tribe swap - hiding an idol/idol clue in a challenge - hiding an idol at tribal council - the double elimination tribal council - fire tokens - the block/steal a vote advantage - the safety without power - the mutiny
A cool idea for a video would be the most influential survivor players. People who revolutionized strategy or gameplay. I'm thinking like Bob with the fake idol, Yul with the idol play to swing Penner, Parvati with the double play, things like that. Rather than focusing on the moves in one episode maybe you could look at the game they played as a whole, and how it changed future seasons.
Something I'd love to see is a 4 tribe game again like in Cook Islands but they could be separated by age like 1 team 20s 1 team 30s 1 team 40s and 1 team 50s
I loved the one world concept. I think it would be great to have an early swap then there is an idol that can only be used to save player on the other side but the receiving player does not know about it unless they have enough votes to leave
Eliza & what's his race's back & forth banter about the stick with a face not being an idol was so funny 😂 Eliza: this isn't it, this can't be it Guy: why Eliza: cuz it's just a stick Guy: I know, but it has a face 😂😂😂
I think you should have included when Jeff temps castaways with food during endurance challenges. Other than that I would like to see a twist where you can send some from your tribe to tribal council in the place of someone else. It would have to expire before the merge.
Peridiam, I was always a huge fan of the Shii-Ann "fake merge" twist. Screwed her over big time, but I thought it was pretty good. Obviously it's not a twist that can be done often, but still pretty solid when executed correctly
Thoughts for your next video: Most robbed 1st time player pre merge boots. Hope you can find a Wentworth before Probst does! Here are a few in my opinion: - Tracey Hughes-Wolf “Fans vs Favorites” - Ace Gordon “Gabon” - Allie Phoevitz “Caramoan” - Ali Elliot “HHH”
For the most part, seasons with tribal swaps are way more fun than seasons without tribal swaps. Tocancins is an exception, but one person from each tribe going to exile island helped with strategy and allowed some shakeup.
What I would like to see is everyone living in one camp and drawing buffs at every challenge up until what would be the merge. That way, teams would be different every time, and it would make it harder to form alliances.
Exile island, it had alot of mixed reactions but personally I liked it. Mainly because of the fact that its where the idol is so its a catch 22. Send the strongest person to weaken them or the opposing provider to weaken their tribe but increase the risk of them finding the idol. Or just keep sending the same person to minimize the idol finder suspects
Hey love your vids, the commentary is really great. Just watching Survivor HHH now, specifically the merge episode with the Outback Steak feast and the "Thunder from down under" dessert or whatever. Just wonder if you have any thoughts on product placement in Survivor? Maybe you could make a list of the cringiest product placements in Survivor, like the one I just watched. Just an idea, lol. Keep up the good work.
Haha, Outback has been on Survivor for a while. I’m fine with the placement just cause I know it’s money that helps keep the show afloat. It’s not too ridiculous, just a little cringe. There are some really bad ones in previous seasons, like Adam Sandler movies.
I think it would be very interesting to do 2 things. 1, do a one world season where there are no tribes, just everyone together. With each challenge there is an individual immunity reward and a team one for those who decide to band together. But only one is available in the challenge. If an individual completes the challenge first, then the individual reward is given and the team one is removed. If the team completes the challenge first (meaning everyone on the team must complete each part), then the team reward is given and the individual one is removed. 2, I would have the voting done immediately after entering tribal council. After the vote, they then discuss their issues. That way, votes cannot be changed. I think it would be interesting to see how things go that way.
If you want an amazing example of someone coming back from a tribe swap, look no further than luke and david from aus survivor 2019- they were down 2-7 after the swap and still managed to pull the numbers to vote out someone from the other tribe. It was fucking incredible
heres an idea for a twist: the anti idol a player can assign this to someone(before voting) to block that person from using their immunity idol(if they have one) thus making them completely vulnerable, thus the term "anti idol" another idea I thought of would be the power to steal the individual immunity necklace. A lot of the time I see players who win immunity just sit back and relax too much so this would be a wake up call. Then again I feel like it would be overpowered
the immunity necklace steal would be unfair since the person who has immunity needs to earn them. Imagine Mike having his immunity necklace stolen and being voted out? That would suck.
Their should be a season where formerly married couples who are either now single/ remarried play against a team of their divorcees. I don't think it would cause much twist since it'd be unlikely they would intermingle well or team up with each other, but it would be hilarious to watch. Especially if they also made it a one beach season to boot so they had to see each other all the time
Chrissy's one-off Super Idol then turned into a fake HII, which she had the opportunity to use later. So, a combo of two of those minor twists. I liked it and its potential use to screw with people.
