Graham De Lacey , you better do some research Graham , Australia does have fault lines, and we do suffer from earthquakes. You should spend your time on the internet to educate yourself Graham and not run around making false statements "" Earthquakes in Australia have also resulted in significant damage and loss of life. This was certainly the case with the magnitude 5.6 Newcastle earthquake in 1989, which killed 13 people and resulted in a $4 billion damage bill. Adelaide is the most earthquake prone capital in Australia. ""

45 categories? In Flanders (Belgium) we have recycle parks, i think almost 20 categories? At home paper, PMD (plastic bottles, small metals from cans , and drinking cartons) and the rest waste are collected, sometimes glass collected at door, otherwise you have to take it to a glass bulb the big peaces, and more selectable recyclable little pieces you can bring to a recycle park, think it comes to about 20 categories there, selective pure metals, some different kinds of plastics, reasable clean wood , dirty wood for energy, textiles , oils, paints, small electrics, ... i think the containerpark started at 8-10 categories 20 years ago and slowly added option in witch some better recycling seems to be possible.

Uh, I live in Tokyo. I wouldn't say you want to follow all of Japan. The town they showed here is a minority. I can't tell you how much single-use plastic is used on the daily.

The last one is very interesting... I used to live in a city, now a town, but I would genuinely like living in such a secluded area, like she said and proved, there’s still so many people passing through... maybe not now, but I’d definitely move there later in my life. There’s just so much history, and when they showed the town hall and stuff, I dunno, there’s just something about history and old buildings I like.

With the underground town, what happens if/when the tunnels collapse in on themselves? It’s gonna happen at some point. Especially as the townsfolk are all blasting new rooms out by themselves. Very worrying.

Honestly, I’m envious that some culture last so long. One of my own culture basically became erased because modern times was simply too widespread. Even now, I find it difficult to find people that remember and can share their stories with me. The young don’t even want to listen to a story anymore. To those who are keeping their culture alive, you’re doing great. It’s tough, but keep doing it. My heart aches for my culture, but one day, a new culture will be created from this time, even if it’s very different, and years from now that will become culture and I hope the young grow up to at least appreciate a little.

yeah underground is great, until you die of radon poisoning. and as for japan, that is one small model village, when the rest of japan is obsessed with plastic, wrapping, consumerism, and not recycling.
