@FXBilliards I don't know how many of your videos I've watched...but all the elite league players I've played know I'm capable of at at least making it challenging...I got a mental block at the moment every single time I play the top dog in league from last year...he's master level I'm intermediate at best I should have had a break & Run on him the easiest shot I had the whole game was the 8 ball slight cut into the corner q ball was on the rail he knows its still in my head every time I play him ...he knows I can beat him before I played him after I had back 2 back perfect league nights I was a 7.8 avg he was a 9.8 with 7 Eros & 10 ,10 -0 wins

Absolutely one of the best steps you can take to improve your game for sure. Especially if playing on 9 ft tables. 7ft tables you can get away with not moving the cue ball much. Still want to use rails when possible but a 6ft rail shot is a WHOLE lot easier than an 8 ft rail shot.

Another excellent tutorial. I’ll now be adjusting my shots to avoid the rail as much as possible. Smart stuff, B. 👍

A lot really depends on the price range. And The best chalk is a subjective thing - what I think is the best somebody else might think another is the best. I use Taom right now.

@@FXBilliards Going to watch a few more before meeting my buds for our weekly Mon 5 to 7 Eight Ball. At 75, I'm the kid of the group. A 4 ball run is a rarity, but as they are 78+ it gives me a good feeling to see them enjoying the game despite a complaint about failing eyesight now and then.

Brian, can you make a video on how to shoot a zig-zag shot? In other words, corner pocket cue ball hits long rail around diamond 1.5, hits opposite long rail around diamond 2.75, and goes into the side pocket opposite that last rail. Then the same type zig-zag shot going the length of the table, corner to corner. Also, the shots taken from different distances from the corner would really be helpful. Thanks for all the great videos!

hi , got done with Pool League Picnic after winning Rd 1 have Break N Run for hill-hill and me team mate won and advance Rd2 and lost she scratch , and on losing side i accidently didn't get exactly what i wanted after 4 ball run and over cut 5th ball , she ask me if i was having fun i kind of lie say yeah but before we play she was wondering how i was her team mate when someone else was her team mate and got switch , my point no one should worry about switch of partner when playing for fun

Why not use outside on the last shot?

Outside would work as well. You could avoid the side rail but it wouldn’t help us illustrate the point - so you’re absolutely correct. I’m grateful that you watched my video. Please make sure you’re subscribing.

On the rail / just by the rail. I know you just taught how not to in this video, but your opponent could have left you or you still make a mistake. Most shots I miss are cue ball on or near the rail and over another ball!

Banks

Back-cut banks close or on the rail. Draw-shot when CB is on the rail, sharp back cuts, over 40 degrees long distance cut shots. Most of the shots in your "shots you hate to practice" video lol

Table length not quite straight in shots (CB 1st, 2nd diamond to OB mid table or 5th diamond, I practice those and make them more often now) Any sharp cut when the OB is frozen to the rail, or long shot CB on rail 5, 6, 7 diamonds CB to OB.
