So excited about this video! I live on a 220 acre cotton farm in West Texas and cotton is an amazing plant! The fields are beautiful when the plants is blooming as well. Delicate pink and yellow blossoms that develop into the cotton bolls....you definitely need to check them out as well and paint them Shayda!!!!
Finally saw this video and I absolutely love it! I live in the south plains of Texas and have fields growing cotton everywhere! They aren't mine of course but it's a fascinating process that even just the plant goes through. Thanks for the tutorial. You did a wonderful job explaining how to paint the mature bolls.

This is such a beautiful tutorial! I love how the colors came out for the cotton, giving it that imperfect fluffiness and a really nice depth. I would have never thought to paint cotton, but I love it!

Just did this last night! Actually had a lot of fun, I'm more of a "once in a while" painter lately and they still turned out quite nice for me! Not like yours of course, you're an awesome artist, but still quite happy :D
Do you have any videos on how to paint watercolor cactus, monsters, banana leaves, philodendron, palm leaf, fiddle leaf etc. They are so beautiful and popular for large wall paintings.
I have a question about the brushes shown at the first minute of the tutorial. The larger brush (dry) looks quite frayed. What brand is it? Does it perform well, full body, pointed tip?
Oh wow, these are so cool looking!! It also reminds me that yes, cotton is a plant, as opposed to wool which is an animal product! I had a piece of a cotton plant when I was a little girl but I no longer have it. Out of curiosity, is yours from an actual cotton field or did you order it online? Thank you for sharing! 💜
A real cotton boll like this would be available from some florists. The flowers only last a day so you would need to see them on a live cotton plant or a video.
