I recommend saving a couple of meaty turkey bones to slow cook in your soup. It will impart lots of flavor, plus nutrition and gelatin from the bone marrow.

Love these ideas, I’ve never thought to make a pot pie with leftover turkey, it looks delicious! I quite enjoy a leftover turkey sandwich though with stuffing, cranberry sauce and lots of gravy 😋

These looks so good! I may be in the minority, but I love Thanksgiving leftovers! I always hate when it’s all gone. So I usually don’t make anything else with my leftovers. I bet these would work great with chicken too!

I need to try the soup 😋😋 my favorite way to use the leftover turkey is to make egg rolls! I just use the turkey, mashed potatoes, and stuffing for filling and we use the turkey gravy (or whatever flavor we used) to dip the egg rolls in. It’s sooo good!!

Ur parents get a bonus beside playing with the baby. U cook for them. Also, if u r like me I can't cook a bit of something, if u have extra people u don't have to eat as much left overs. Enjoy thanksgiving with ur folks. My plan this year is just getting a turkey breast so I really don't have leftovers. There is only 7 of us, but eating dinner a couple times should make the turkey go away.

Julia I have put a puff pastry over the top of mine, and I also make a gravy, chicken or Turkey as the sauce, mixed vegetables, and then lay all of this on a thin bed of mashed potato, or you could also do stove top stuffing, then cover it with the puff pastry brushed with egg. Lawd 🫠 she is lovely!!! Another good topper is chunks of biscuit rolled in butter first. Yum.

Hi Gourmet Julia, Thanksgiving leftover for me is just a turkey & stuffing sandwich with a cranberry mayo. You did spark my imagination with the pot pie though. Instead of pie crust use the leftover stuffing pressed in the pie dish as the pie crust, dice turkey and add to leftover green bean casserole fill pie dish top with any fried onions you have remaining. Leftover pot pie to the extreme. Thanks for giving us your best❤❤❤

Everything you made looked so delicious. You could also make a wrap with the left over turkey meat . I make them a lot but with chicken. You could try adding some Indian spices to your meat ... they taste absolutely delicious. I also make butter chicken with the leftover meat . A speciality of Indian cuisine

We make pot pie filling and then freeze it. Then you can thaw it overnight and pop it in a crust for dinner. That way if you get tired of turkey leftovers you can save it for a later date. 😁

Another good to see you can use to find great recipes is Yummly it’s my favorite to find lots of really good recipes. I use it all the time and I love your videos you give me so many great ideas for food. I do all the cooking in my house from my mom and me so if you have any good advice, I would gladly take it and I just bought all of your stuff you recommended on Amazon for Christmas and if you see this my birthday is tomorrow

You make such beautiful food! You asked for it: Turkey Apple Salad. (Awesome! especially with curry!!) 2 1/2 c. leftover turkey breast, cut into chunks 3 med. Red Delicious apples (or apple of your choice, mine are Pink Lady) 1 1/4 c. sliced celery 1/2 c. raisins (dried cranberries instead?) 3/4 c. Good Seasons Italian dressing mix, prepared (I made with evoo & red wine vinegar) 2 Tbsp. brown sugar curry powder to taste (optional) Core (don't peel) apples & cut into large dice. Toss in lg bowl with raisins and celery. (I add a squeeze of lemon juice here to keep apples from turning brown and brighten the flavor.) Add turkey. In a separate bowl, whisk together dressing, brown sugar, and curry powder (if using). Pour over turkey mixture and fold gently. Serve over lettuce leaves. This is the basic recipe. You can add whatever seasonings etc. you like. Sugar snap peas? Water chestnuts? Sunflower seeds? Red onion? Endless possibilities. BEST if refrigerated a while before serving so the flavors can meld. Bon appetit!

Wow, you've given some mighty amazing tips on how to use my leftovers!! My son and I live together, and we always make Thanksgiving dinner for the both of us. Well, I make it, he eats it. Okay, I make it, serve it, and clean up afterwards but the love I have for him makes it all worthwhile! Great ideas. I'll be using the pot pie one for sure. Love this video Julia!! We love Turkey bacon ranch sliders for leftover turkey. Just mix ranch with hot sauce and spread on small dinner roll type buns. Add cheese, shredded turkey and bacon. Bake until cheese is melted. It is amazing!!

I love that Turkey Pot pie recipe!! And might really be terrible to admit but my family never got past the 2nd day turkey sandwiches or 3rd day turkey salad. Everything looks delicious! With all of these wonderful recipes, will you all be wanting turkey on Thanksgiving, or do you have something else? My Mom always made turkey over biscuits , which was baking powder biscuits (Bisquick) and then she made like a turkey pot pie filling to go over the biscuits. It was so yummy ! @@JuliaPacheco We are meeting family at a restaurant for Thanksgiving dinner. They are featuring traditional Thanksgiving foods, everything from appetizer down to dessert for $50 per person. I've made decades worth of holiday meals, and by the time I buy everything its way more than that. Julia I happen to see your video using leftover turkey. I make a turkey spaghetti. It's very easy to make. I saute one chopped onion and two chopped carrots and two stalks of celery in about four tablespoons of butter. Then I add about 2 to 3cups of leftover turkey gravy or you can use two cans of cream of mushroom soup.then I add 1cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese. I cook one pound of thin spaghetti drain add previous mixture to pasta with 2to 3cups of leftover turkey top with one more additional one cup of shredded sharp cheddar cheese. Bake 350 for 25 to 35 minutes .

My finace’s mom makes turkey enchiladas and I don’t know her recipe! I’ve wanted to recreate it ever since I tried it. My finace always said he looked forward to the enchiladas with the leftover turkey rather than actual Thanksgiving😅

Better than bullion is used the same way bouillon cubes are used with the exception that you use 1 teaspoon of it to every one cup of water! It’s a richer taste and adds so much more flavor to the meal😀

I just made more turkey broth now that christmas is approaching and I currently have soooo many turkey leftovers in the freezer needing to be used (including homemade gravy, yum!). I really need more ideas on how to use it all! I usually just make soups, pot pie, etc.

You are so kind thank you so much Robin! I like to put baking soda in my Dutch oven right after I clean it while it’s still wet and I let it sit for a few minutes then I clean it again! The baking soda really helps 💜

turkey soup is usually what we do with our leftovers...or we make sandwiches with cranberry sauce and leftover stuffing, etc

Your good ideas are wonderful! Quick question?? On your Turkey Pie recipe, you mentioned 1/2 tsp of poultry seasoning then you said 1/4 tsp thyme but you put in another ingredient without mentioning what it was… it looked like a green powder of some sort. I had to play back like 5 times just to see if I missed it and it was left out because after that you said to add a little salt and pepper. Just curious to what that third ingredient was. Thank you❤️😇🧐
