Thank you so much for this video. I saw the prompt pop up a while back, but it went away, but my car still felt like I’d lost a lot of power. I was worried id damaged something, but after unplugging the battery and resetting the ECU, I feel the power back in the car

Thanks bro, I got my camaro stuck in some mud and took like an hour to get it out. CHP pulled my car out and drove 70 miles back home. 20 miles into that drive this came on and I didn't know what was goin on. I got the car home safe. thankfully restarting the car resets the limp mode. Ill give this a try and hopefully dont have to get new sensors
Alright when it’s very hot outside my 2014 camaro ss takes a hard time turning on and I have the check engine light on and stablitrack light on with the traction control off runs like crap as well but Right now that Is winter car turns on right and have zero problems any suggestions ?

I had this same issue I cleaned the throttle body and replaced the gas pedal because it said a sensor was also bad. Now it’s not at reduced power but we I drive it’s holding rps higher than normal. Also it’s accelerating without me pressing on the gas at times so I have to dump the clutch.
Mine has the same problem but sometimes when the car is already warm because I drove it already and when I try to start it doesn’t want to….. is like the starter gets stuck and then start

My car was somewhat shaking but didn’t get a reduce power signal so I thought it was the spark plugs. So I changed the spark plugs on my car cuz I thought that was the problem and now the reduced power came on , could it be because of the throttle ? And I need to clean it ?
Absolutely thrilled that I decided to watch this video! My 45th Ann. Ed has 135000km roughly after stereo upgrade I found my ac wasn't working on both sides of the car n winter hit n I had no heat. Bizarre never would've guessed the 2 b relates. I had it checked out n apparently the blender door (which sounds very similar to the flap u mentioned) was the cause of this. So I had it fixed. And since the drive home from being fixed I've had nothing but problems with the idle, reverse, stabiltrak, even overheated a couple times. And I get the message "service stabiltrak" I'm no mechanic but the two things sound very similar could almost be the same problem. I'm just curious if u may know if it is in fact related. Also curious the procedure for cleaning the air intake will still work the same way if its been changed to a cold air intake. Cuz I know mine is.
The ac/ heat problem is with the blend door. It’s a plastic gear that has broken or sheared. In order to fix this the entire dash must be removed. It cost me $1000 to have done.
But I have had issues with crankshaft sensor: THEOUGH front passenger wheel. An animal sleeping in passenger corner of engine and messed with o2 intake and issues with battery
I have the same car that did the same thing I’ll check it out and clean it. We bought the car new now it has 160,000 miles on it. Have you had any problems with the timing chain? My car has 2 engine codes p0171 and p0174. Have you ever had these two codes?
I have on my ss you have a intake leak somewhere or fuel injector o ring it’s unmetered air entering after the maf sensor I had one side po171 so it was narrowed to one side of the engine but since you have both it could be also if you have an aftermarket intake and it hasn’t been tuned could do it but I say do a smoke test and look around it could be a cracked intake manifold too
Hey I’ve had the stabilitrack track for about 5 months it randomly came up one day when I did a pull and I spawn a lil after that day every time I turn on the car and the stabilitrack and idk what it is :/ I have a 2016
My car only has 80,000 and it started doing this last year. I cleaned the throttle body, and it was good the whole year. It started doing it again a few days ago, so I cleaned it again. But it did it after I got gas yesterday. It has to be something else? Maybe I just need to change the throttle body?

Hey how’s it going there! I have a 2015 camaro LS and I also have run into a po2099 code with those symptoms o service stabil and also the check engine light is on the traction control lights will light up as well if I try and speed faster then 40.
Hey guys. I just left chevy yesterday. Paid the $135 . Said its my ECM. Had the Exact Same Issue. Since I have a tune. Im sending it off to Miami for a rebuild/refurbishment. Good Luck & hope this helps. I will also keep you updated when I'm done. 5th Gen Love!
I’ve been having this problem and now the immobilizer mode has kicked in an the car won’t start. When I turn the key to start the RAP module clicks. My battery has 14 volts so it’s good and Chevy dealership has no idea what the hell is going on. First they think it’s my key and It’s gonna cost $150. I’m about to say fu*% it and get a hellcat. I’ve had my camaro for 7 months an this is bullsh*€. Anyone have any ideas pls share.
That happened to me when I got mine. I don’t have a specific fix but if you have an extra key then try to use that. I have a second key from GM and the car started when I used the original. Though if that doesn’t work it will eventually fix itself
It’s crazy everybody got “almost the same problem” lol.. I put a new battery and alternator in my 2015 Camaro (v6 2LT) and.. while driving on the road for 2hrs.. my battery saver came on.. idk why when I replace both battery and alternator because of that.. but plot twist tho.. I drove back those 2hrs to get home.. but without my AC.. everything was fine..? Along with that.. it always starts up.. and it’s rare that “battery saver “ comes on.. I blame turning my AC on.. but I wanted y’all opinion before I do this 150$ a hour inspection .. Almost forgot.. only my driver seat won’t move forward.. but It’ll recline back.. and I’m stuck lookin like an obtuse angle..
Hi I have the same problem on my 2014 camaro v6 battery save active and this morning I was driving and the car lost all the power and the lights start blinking do you fixed your car do find out what was the problem

But honestly, I still don’t know.. ive been driving it now with no problems since the incident… and I got an alternator that’s really not even brand new.. (they say I might need a BRAND NEW one). But The reason why I’m prolonging It.. is because the only time I have this problem is if I’m driving for a long trip. And the battery saver goes off when I lit it sit for a minute..lol so I’m doing what I can now to fix this issue later.. or get better info.. but my life rn too busy.. Sorry I couldn’t help man 🙏🏾💯
Hi all, I got a Camaro 2012 with 216000 km on it. Started seeing the same message and the car actually stopped one fine day. While the garage told me that the catalytic (emission sensor) needs to be replaced which may cost $2000. I tried this method and it fixed everything for about 100 km and I am back with the same message again. Anybody else face this?
@@dandredotts Hi all, it finally got solved. I tried almost all the methods I could find on the internet but it kept coming back. In the end, I took it to the Chevrolet Center. This was the cause: The mechanical gas pump was faulty giving the wrong message to the car that the air coming through is not at the right level. Moreover I was told that there were several electrical circuits in different parts of the car that had gotten damaged with time and needed to be repaired and reconnected. It cost me around USD 1200 but they did a fine job and the problem has not resurfaced in over a month now.
17 2ss with 29k miles and started getting this about a few weeks ago, every time I take it to the shop it the error disappears so they can’t find the issue, u found the issue yet?
@@2kmessiah_350 drive it daily. If you don’t turn it on often. You’ll start having the issue I have. It starts good on cold start. After driving it. I turn it off and turn it on in a minute and it cranks really slow and long, but it still manages to turn on. But I get a p0336 (crankshaft position sensor) So I let it cool off for about 10-30min and I start it again and it turns on a little better this time, and the code goes away.
@@Sandra-mj4kc i don’t know about v6 I think it can also happen on v6. I have the v8, and the problem was solved by replacing the battery when I had the issue.
I'm stumped as to what caused my "service stabilitrak " light to flash on and off. I didnt get a reduced engine power message. It came on after driving about 7 miles and the engine began running rough and flashed the message. I barely got it home 5 miles later as the engine just kept stumbling. I have the 3.6 lfx like you and only 1650 miles on mine. I pulled a spark plug off on the passenger side toward the front and it was all sooty which indicates running rich. I do have a CAI by Injen but it never did this before after installing it 1000 miles ago. What gives with my situation?
@@kicmanerevtog9119 the breather tube that goes from the valve cover to the intake had worked its way loose and fallen out. It's in between the maf sensor and throttle body. But wouldn't that have created a lean condition as more air would enter the intake? It's either that or my gas has gone bad?
@@ryanchristensen1799 if it caused more air flow into the engine it would throw off the air/gas ratio which would cause the light to come on since its not recognized as a normal ratio
@@jedediahgordon4064 which light, the check engine light or the service stabilitrak? I started it up after cleaning the spark plugs and re connecting the loose air tube. It seemed to run fine but I didn't drive it in fear of it possibly doing it again.
Just started mine up, it was shaking really bad with the “service stabilitrak” message. I let it warm up, everything went away (including check engine flashing). I’m at 91k miles 2015 RS v6 auto.
